The Asim Ferhatović Hase Stadium in Sarajevo is the largest soccer stadium in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It opened in 1950, features a natural grass playing field measuring 103 × 65 meters and has a seating capacity of 30,121 today. Since 2004, the stadium has been named after club legend Asim Ferhatović “Hase,” one of the country’s most prominent soccer players. Around the stadium, you’ll inevitably find countless soccer graffiti and tributes created by the local ultras, the HORDE ZLA, also named HZ or UNFKS for short.

Nam-gu District is one of Daegu’s centrally located districts and combines on its area urban life with nature and culture. The name “Nam-gu” literally means literally “South District”. Apsan Mountain is particularly well-known; it is a popular destination featuring hiking trails, lookout points, and a cable car from which visitors can enjoy a sweeping view of Daegu. Although it is primarily a residential district, you’ll still find countless works of urban art here; especially at schools and children’s facilities, you can see large murals and wall paintings featuring colorful scenes and lots of funny characters.

NORTH MACEDONIA: Streetart Skopje – Kej 13th November – Vardar Graffiti Walls West

Along the Vardar River in the Centar district, there is a path running along the river on both the north and south sides. This walkway is lined with a wall that separates it from the buildings located further up. It is essentially a retaining wall that can also provide protection in the event of flooding. And this extremely long wall, stretching both westward and eastward, offers a wonderful canvas for urban art and graffiti. NEPAL: Kathmandu – Traditional Tiles, Door Gods & Home Protectors – Culture Art Collection

In Kathmandu and Patan, you often see small stone or terracotta tiles with religious motifs placed near house entrances. These elements are part of traditional Newar architecture and are generally referred to as religious relief panels, protective tiles, or small outdoor household shrines. The handmade artworks often depict deities such as Krishna, Shiwa, Ganesha, Hanuman, Saraswati or Buddha, as well as protective symbols, mandalas, and mythical beings. Besides the numerous tiles, you can also find paste up works, wooden boards or wall paintings around the entrance doors.

The awesome MEETING OF STYLES is the world’s largest graffiti event network, with more than 400 jams held to date, resulting in over 30.000 fantastic works of art. Launched in 1997 as WALLSTREET MEETING, it became the most important meeting place for the local scene, bringing together all graffiti artists from the Rhine-Main region, and soon from all over Germany and the whole world to the „Brückenkopf“ at Mainz-Kastel in Wiesbaden. It quickly became international with countless offshoots in various countries. One of the most impressive and fascinating lost places of Ibiza island is located in the north at Cala d’en Serra. There stands the gigantic ruin of a luxury hotel designed in the 1970s by the famous architect Josep Lluís Sert. Due to political opposition during the Franco era, a lack of building permits, and ultimately the architect’s death, the complex was never completed. What was once intended to be a flagship architectural project is now a legendary abandoned site, filled with graffiti and urban artworks.

The IHWA MURAL VILLAGE is a historic residential neighborhood in Seoul’s Jongno District that became a popular cultural and tourist destination following an art project in 2006. As part of the project, numerous artists transformed the narrow alleys with colorful murals, mosaics, and creative art installations to revitalize the neighborhood and promote tourism. Since then, numerous other works of urban art have been added. The village is situated on a slope of Naksan Mountain, allowing visitors not only to discover the artwork but also to enjoy beautiful views over the rooftops of Seoul.

Fremantle is a port city about 19 km southwest of Perth with around 30.000 residents. Founded in 1829 as part of the Swan River Colony, it quickly became Western Australia’s main port. The city is strongly defined by well-preserved colonial-era architecture. Key landmarks include the Round House, the oldest surviving building in Western Australia, the Fremantle Markets, the Fremantle Arts Centre, as well as the harbor and the historic West End district. At the same time, Fremantle is known as a creative hub with a vibrant streetart scene and great events such as the FREMANTLE BIENNALE and the FREMANTLE STREET ARTS FESTIVAL, which promote urban art in public spaces.

BULGARIA: Karlukovo – Prohodna Cave – Sculptural Artworks and Nature Scenery at Iskar Gorge

Prohodna is a karst cave in north-central Bulgaria, located in the Iskar Gorge near the village of Karlukovo in the Lowetsch province. The cave is known for the two eye-like holes in its ceiling, known as God’s eyes. Several stone statues have been placed at the entrance and around the cave area, which, in addition to the cave itself as a natural wonder, are a beautiful addition as creative works of human hands. They are thematically nature-related works with motifs of gnomes, animals or plants. The place really has something magical and is definitely worth a visit.

ARGENTINA: Streetart Buenos Aires – Colorful Urban Art Project – Embellecimiento Urbano

The fantastic urban art project EMBELLECIMIENTO URBANA took place in the year 2016 and many local artists participated to color up and wonderully decorate the walls in the streets with awesome artworks. „Embellecimiento Urbana“ means translated into English „Urban Beautiful“.
