Along Bangalamukhi Road in the Chakupat district of Lalitpur, there is a magnificent graffiti wall featuring fantastic works in various styles. Especially the KAALO collective carried out two remarkable projects in 2018 and 2021 to support the organizations DIGNITY WITHOUT DANGER and DALIT LIVES MATTER. The SHADES collective also left behind a fantastic piece as a tribute to the movie Qala. In between are writing pieces, bombings, tags and streetart. New works are added from time to time. This open air urban art gallery stretches in both directions around the intersection of Mitra Marg, Dhantil Marg and Khatal Marg.

„Dalit lives matter“ – KAALO Project 2018 – BOX, GAUTAM SHRESTHA & PRASAD

„Guam ki Guam!“ – This project with three great collaboration murals was conducted in August 2018 by the collective KAALO to support the organization DALIT LIVES MATTER. The Dalits, formerly known as “untouchables,” constitute the lowest social class in the caste system and, despite legal prohibitions, often face discrimination and poverty. They comprise approximately 240 million people who are considered outcasts and have historically been marginalized. Despite government support programs, they often struggle for equality, education, and against violence.

„Qala“ – SHADES & LIKE ICARE

This artwork is a tribute to the Netflix production „Qala“, in English translates to “Art”, which is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language historical psycho thriller written and directed by Anvita Dutt. The film was produced by Karnesh Sharma under Clean Slate Filmz. The film stars Tripti Dimri, Swastika Mukherjee, and Babil Khan in his film debut.
