SPAIN: Streetart Fanzara – MIAU – Museo Inacabado de Arte Urbano de Fanzara

The MUSEO INACABADO DE ARTE URBANO, or MIAU for short, is an extraordinary urban art project in the small village of Fanzara in the province of Castellón. It was launched in 2014 and the name stands for “Unfinished Museum of Urban Art” – unfinished because it is constantly evolving. Unlike traditional museums, the exhibition is open-air, with artists decorating house facades, gates, and walls throughout the village, turning Fanzara itself into a gallery with more than 160 urban artworks by 116 creators from big to small. And every year new works are getting added.

SPAIN: Streetart Alicante – Graffiti and Urban Art on the Costa Blanca

Alicante is a lively port city on the Costa Blanca in southeastern Spain with a population of around 330.000. The city’s landmarks include the Castillo de Santa Bárbara, towering high above the sea and offering impressive views of the coast, the palm-lined Explanada de España promenade with its characteristic mosaic floor, and the 17th-century Concatedral de San Nicolás. SPAIN: Streetart Cartagena – Mucho Mas Mayo Festival – Graffiti and Urban Art at the Mediterranean

Cartagena is a port city with around 215,000 inhabitants and is located in the region of Murcia in south-eastern Spain. Worth seeing are the historic old town, the second largest Roman theater on the Iberian Peninsula or the Casa de la Fortuna, which is decorated with colorful wall paintings and mosaics. But there are also numerous gems of urban art in the streets and especially during the great MUCHO MAS MAYO arts festival various events take place throughout the city, also every year new murals get created on the walls.

SPAIN: Streetart Tenerife – Puerto de la Cruz – Urban Art on the Canary Island

Puerto de la Cruz is located on the north coast of Tenerife, which is the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands. Worth seeing are the customs house from the 17th century at the old port, the historic fortifications from the 18th century „Batería de Santa Bárbara“ or the seawater outdoor pool complex „Lago Martiánez“, which was designed by the famous architect CÉSAR MANRIQUE. As well as beautiful volcanic sand by the water, this place also has of course great urban art to offer.

SPAIN: Madrid Exhibition – Bajo Derecha – Antonio Maura 18 – E Ciento Veinte – ABDUL VAS

On November 28th in 2024 the exhibition „Borrowed Times“ with great works by the artist ABDUL VAS opened with a beautiful vernissage at the Madrid gallery E CIENTO VEINTE. His works can be admired in the art space at Calle Antonio Maura 18 until February 8th in 2025. For ABDUL VAS, the overwhelming power of AC/DC’s music has displaced linear and routine time. He has decided to portray a set of writers who inhabit a dimension, where delicacy and loyalty to aesthetics intertwine, with the greatness of music from a time lent by eternity. SPAIN: Graffiti Barcelona – Periferia Beat Festival & Mural Jam – 50 Years of Hip Hop

From October 5th to 20th 2023 the 7th edition of the great PERIFERIA BEAT FESTIVAL took place in Barcelona. Every year, this extensive urban art event brings numerous artists from all areas of the scene to the stage. From breakdance to hip hop music, djing, rap battles and, of course, graffiti. This year’s event was also themed “50 Years of Hip Hop” and included movies, exhibitions and workshops. On October 12th, as well the MURAL JAM BARCELONA took place as part of the festival, where fantastic works were created at the Tres Xemeneies Hall.

In our “Graffitipedia” we try to document just everything in terms of urban creation and art in general, from good to bad and from big to small. SPAIN: Streetart Barcelona – Tres Xemeneies – Skatepark Graffiti & Hall of Fame Archive

The “Tres Xemeneies” skate park and graffiti hall of fame, located on the edge of the Sants-Montjuic district, owes its name to these three large buildings that belonged to the old “La Canadenca” power station. Although the skate park area is quite huge, it unfortunately only has a few elements, but the graffiti walls are definitely awesome. That’s why this place is the largest and busiest hall in Barcelona.

Valencia is simply a super cool city on the east coast of Spain. Relaxed atmosphere, interesting culture and modern dynamics. You’ll find historic monuments and also futuristic places like the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències, there are funky underground clubs, you can eat super delicious food and of course there is urban art in every alley. You also shouldn’t miss the popular and crazy annual event „Las Fallas“, when they create wonderful huge sculptures during the whole year, just to burn them down on a special day with a big party.

SPAIN: Streetart Mojácar – Travelgraff Urban Art Jam – Graffiti at the Gas Station

Those great artworks were created close to the Spanish town of Mojácar during the fantastic jam TRAVELGRAFF in 2018. It is a national contest with numerous Spanish artists from the Almeria region and also from other parts of the country. The motto of the jam was „Nuestro medioambiente y el suyo“, which means in English „Our environment and yours“. You can find the graffiti spot at the propane and butan gas station on the A-370 highway northwest of the town in the direction to Garrucha.
