The photographer IRXNSCHMOIZ provides fantastic images of urban art and as part of our Vagabundler collective we constructed maps for Hannover, Bremerhaven, Braunschweig, Dortmund and Hildesheim, but also individual pages to numerous other places in Germany. The process the pics go through take time, and he puts a lot of energy into it. That’s why the results are always a feast for the eyes. In this article he introduces himself and tells your readers some more about his story, the early years in Berlin, his fondness for unique architecture and industrial buildings, or even little plays of color behind a trash can.

GERMANY: Streetart Hannover – Calenberger Neustadt – GLOCKE FESTIVAL – Urban Art Jam

A new name, a new location! After seven years of URBAN NATURE in Hannover the organizers changed the name to GLOCKE FESTIVAL and hosted the first edition around the Glocksee Hall of Fame, the Independent Youth and Cultural Center and several other buildings around from 7th till 10th May in 2026. The plan is to paint new surfaces on those walls once a year. Check out the huge gallery from this year’s event and the numerous styles, characters and abstract works.

GERMANY: Streetart Hannover – URBAN NATURE – Graffiti, Art & Culture Festival

The great festival URBAN NATURE in Hannover began in 2018, emerging from an initiative by the city and the local graffiti network to create more legal spaces for urban art. A large open wall area at the IHME HALL near Spinnereibrücke became the festival’s central location, quickly turning into a key meeting point for the graffiti and streetart community every summer. International artists, local writers, and guests from partner cities transformed the walls year after year, accompanied by workshops, jams, music, and community exchange. It developed into an open, non-commercial cultural event with a strong creative identity and growing recognition.

GERMANY: Streetart Hannover – HOLA UTOPIA! – Urban Art Festival – Artist Gallery

HOLA UTOPIA! is an international hip hop and streetart festival in Hannover that transforms the city into a space of debate and promotion of progressive values. The socio-cultural festival encourages all Hannoverians to share their ideas for the future of their city during workshops. Leading German and international street artists then implement them into the design of large-scale artworks. Involved in the event is also the HIP HOP KULTUR e.V. and since 2024 the event also takes place in the city of Braunschweig.
