The great festival URBAN NATURE in Hannover began in 2018, emerging from an initiative by the city and the local graffiti network to create more legal spaces for urban art. A large open wall area at the IHME HALL near Spinnereibrücke became the festival’s central location, quickly turning into a key meeting point for the graffiti and streetart community every summer. International artists, local writers, and guests from partner cities transformed the walls year after year, accompanied by workshops, jams, music, and community exchange. It developed into an open, non-commercial cultural event with a strong creative identity and growing recognition.
