GERMANY: Streetart Frankfurt – Character Jam 2026 – Jugendhaus am Bügel

From 9th till 10th May in 2026, the great CHARACTER JAM took place again at the JUGENDHAUS AM BÜGEL, this time it was the 14th edition of this fantastic event, where several artists redesign and color up the building complex and surrounding facades. This time, the pieces weren’t done on the stage, but instead the entire front building was decorated with a great concept wall by the BORN CREW and KWG CREW aka KIDS WITH GUNZ, also the backyard wall adorns now a collab by the TIF CREW aka THE INFAMOUS FACES, and the youth center has now a new large mural facing the sports field made by EMESA and HERA.

GERMANY: Streetart Dortelweil – Was ist Liebe – Philosophical Mural Series Gallery – INDIAN

The magnificent artist INDIAN from Bad Vilbel has created a wonderful open air gallery on the sound barrier wall along Federal Highway B3 over many years, featuring countless fantastic and thought-provoking murals. His works are mostly a combination of portraits and poetic stories. He himself calls his art “philosophical graffiti,” and the respective works are created as part of the series “Was ist Liebe” or “What is Love” in English. In his works, he deals with life, humanity, and empathy, but also our connection to earth and the problems that arise from our alienation from nature.

GERMANY: Urban Art Raunheim – Mainuferweg – Hafen Jam – Annual Graffiti Festival

From 25th to 27th of July in 2025, the fantastic HAFEN JAM took place again in Raunheim, with 137 artists expected to attend this year. The long harbor wall with its two underpasses was completely redesigned with magnificent graffiti. The musical lineup was also impressive once again, featuring great hip hop MCs and DJs. Almost 15 years ago, MIAMI NEIß and MASEI ONE launched the first event. In 2019, DJ SAPIKO came on board and TEAM ANTIGRAU was founded, which has been organizing the legendary event annually ever since. Meanwhile it has grown into a huge festival.

GERMANY: Streetart Offenbach – Nordend – Mainkai Gallery – Hafengarten Graffiti Wall

On the cycle path on the Mainkai in Offenbach there is a half-ruined wall, in some places more complete, in other places partially crumbled. The jagged, ruinous surfaces offer an interesting underground for graffiti and urban art, with an industrial, crumbling charm. The wall begins at the level of the Hafengarten in the east and runs till the Walter Spiller Bridge. Regularly great graffiti jams and spray sessions take place at this spot. GERMANY: Streetart Frankfurt – Bonames – Jugendhaus am Bügel – Graffiti & Jams – ARTIST GALLERY

The youth center JUGENDHAUS AM BÜGEL in Frankfurt’s Bonames district has been a meeting point for graffiti, breakdance and hip hop for decades. The annual CHARACTER JAM is widely known and attracts both painters and fans of the genre. In a mixture of youth work and creative-social art education, events have been taking place here since the 90s. Check out the huge artist gallery with works from several years and numerous jams.

GERMANY: Streetart Frankfurt – Graffiti Jam – DD12 – Das Dreckige Dutzend – EVENT 2022

In September 2022 the awesome urban art event DAS DRECKIGE DUTZEND, or in English THE DIRTY DOZEN, took place in Frankfurt with their 9th spray session. This time more than 60 artists designed in total 230 meters of facade on several walls. As well a part of one of the industrial buildings was declared as a permanent legal spray wall due to the event. Check out the photos of the amazing artworks from the jam!

GERMANY: Frankfurt Graffiti Jam DD12 – Das Dreckige Dutzend – The Dirty Dozen – Event Archive

The jam series „Das Dreckige Dutzend“ or in English “The Dirty Dozen” is a regular graffiti and hip hop event which the artist Niclas Hatwig aka AMBER brought to life in 2017. As the title suggests, initially 12 participants were planned to design a bridge wall near Frankfurt’s Westbahnhof, but meanwhile more than 50 sprayers are involved in these spectacles. Once or twice a year, large walls are redesigned in collaboration and the jam is accompanied by hip hop acts, breakdance and DJ music. Check out the huge archive from the the last events!

GERMANY: Graffiti Artist Niclas Hatwig aka AMBER – Das Dreckige Dutzend – IG Farbschicht

The graffiti artist Niclas Hatwig is better known to many under the name AMBER, which he also paints in his artworks. Sometimes with colorful characters. He has been involved with urban art since his youth, but not only paints himself, furthermore he organizes great events and gives workshops. In 2017 he started the jam series “Das Dreckige Dutzend” or in English “The Dirty Dozen”. AMBER connects the art scene and offers a great creative platform.

GERMANY: Streetart Frankfurt – Jugendhaus am Bügel – 10th Character Jam & Das Dreckige Dutzend 2021

This year ‘Das Dreckige Dutzend’ or ‘The Dirty Dozen’ were guests at the ‘Jugendhaus am Bügel’ (Youth Center) in Frankfurt. The fantastic Character Jam takes place there every year, which would have had its 10th anniversary in 2020. A good reason to celebrate, even a year later because of Corona. And so in 2021 both events took place in one great jam at the youth center, and the DD12 made the name of the Character Jam its motto for this year: ‘Focus on Characters’. In contrast to the writer-heavy DD12 events of recent years, this year all pillars of Hip Hop were covered and a jam in the style of the 90s has been offered.
