ROMANIA: Timișoara Design – Triade Sculpture Park – Spotlight Heritage – Open Air Museum

The Triade Foundation initiated the „Sculpture Nursery“ project in 2003, wherein Romanian and international artists provided models of their works that were later produced in Timişoara for an outdoor exhibition. The Triade Park, located near the Interart Triade Foundation, where the Jecza Museum operates, houses more than 40 stone and metal sculptures. Some of these works were created by prominent Romanian sculptors.

ROMANIA: Streetart Arad – Citizenit Project – Urban Art in the Northern Banat Region

Arad has around 145.000 inhabitants and is located in the south of the Kreisch region and in the north of the Banat, a major industrial center and important transport hub in the west of the country. Worth seeing are the Palace of Culture on George Enescu Square, the Turnului Water Tower, the Red Church and the Orthodox Holy Trinity Cathedral. Of course, there are also interesting works of urban art here, especially the non governmental association CITIZENIT is organizing a lot of colorful projects.

BAHAMAS: Streetart Nassau – East Down Mural Project & National Art Gallery Urban Creations

Nassau is the capital of the Bahamas, was founded in 1656 and has around 250,000 inhabitants. The old town with buildings from the British colonial era, Prince George Wharf and Forts Charlotte and Fincastle are well worth a visit. There is also plenty of urban art in the streets and the NATIONAL ART GALLERY OF THE BAHAMAS in particular has created several murals here. The EAST DOWNTOWN MURAL PROJECT by the TOURISM DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION is also interesting and regularly adds new works to the cityscape.
