These grandiose works of art were created by the Berlin artist AUTARK on the rear parking deck of the Deutsche Oper on the corner of Krumme Street and Zille Street. AUTARK made the beautiful creations by snow forming and shoveling on different days in January 2022. On March 8th, the International Women’s Day, the great EQUAL JAM 2022 took place on the walls of the North Side Gallery. Over 85 local urban artists painted, pinned, glued and sprayed on the subject of equality and designed a huge and unique open-air gallery for Berlin. The current war of aggression by Russia against Ukraine, which started on 24th of February 2022, is a disastrous catastrophe and shocks the whole world. Every day we receive news about the terrible events, about the fighting of the troops, the destruction and above all the suffering and fear of the population. Several urban artists in Berlin have expressed their absolute rejection of the cruel actions, their concerns and their big protest against this war in meaningful works of art. It also strongly shows a sign of solidarity to Ukraine at this difficult times. Stop this war and stop all wars in general!

As the name suggests, the MINIMALISTIX GALLERY & COFFEE run by owner CENGIZ TATAR offers creative art and tasty coffee, but also everyday useful things. This new wonderful free mind space opened its doors on 10th of February 2022 with a great starting event in Bülow Street 11 in the Berlin district Schöneberg. Till 26th of February the gallery is open from 7 till 9 pm and the exhibition organized by GOMEZ and PETRA BRANKE aka MERLIN 007 will end on Saturday with a finissage. The other artists involved were JPS, PZY, MR SASA, BUBBLES, CASE, HOMBRE LOPEZ, FEFE, IMED ART, ANDRÉ KROMMER and HARALD HASSI.

The jam series „Das Dreckige Dutzend“ or in English “The Dirty Dozen” is a regular graffiti and hip hop event which the artist Niclas Hatwig aka AMBER brought to life in 2017. As the title suggests, initially 12 participants were planned to design a bridge wall near Frankfurt’s Westbahnhof, but meanwhile more than 50 sprayers are involved in these spectacles. Once or twice a year, large walls are redesigned in collaboration and the jam is accompanied by hip hop acts, breakdance and DJ music. Check out the huge archive from the the last events!

He has been involved with urban art since his youth, but not only paints himself, furthermore he organizes great events and gives workshops. Fantastic spray art in which you can dive into or that jumps towards you. WildStyle at its best! Mostly liquid, but it sticks firmly to the wall. We interviewed the artist BERND EISOLD aka BERK about his awesome graffiti artworks. He is not only active as an artist himself, but also tries passionately to support other artists and newcomers. As a sprayer BERK enjoys doing urban art, but is also deeply connected to the art scene and tries to educate other people, gives workshops, advocates more art spaces in local councils and, above all, is committed to more free areas for the graffiti world. A very creative and brilliant person who should be supported!

The Tierpark Center in Berlin Lichtenberg is becoming a temporary open air gallery. Seven Berlin artists for urban art designed the wall surface of the center with motifs specially developed for the location in December 2021. The creative temporary use was made possible by the on-site center management together with the child and adolescent psychotherapist Andrea Stöckmann aka EMILY STRANGE and Ulrike Gohla from the STADTPIRATEN. The motto for the motifs is “Fare Well” and the involved creators were AGE AGE, CARO PEPE, COKYONE, LACUNA, MATE, SPOARE 153 and SR. PAPÁ CHANGO. Check out their awesome artworks!

Time for a Graffiti Battle with a creepy Halloween theme! On October 31st an Urban Art Championship took place at the North Side Gallery in Berlin. The event was organized by Graffiti Battle TV with great support from Loop Colors, Graffiti Lobby Berlin, Emily Strange and the shop Graffiti Box. Bee Low and History of Berlin also provided support. Fantastic works of art were created on the walls in the park at the Nordbahnhof, matching the date with styles of Halloween. This event served as a preliminary decision for the Berlin contribution to the International Graffiti Battle 2022. DEJOE was awarded 1st place, followed by TWICK in 2nd place and SKIM in 3rd place. Altogether 20 artists participated at the event.
