Koh Phangan is an island of approximately 125 km² in the Gulf of Thailand, located about 65 km from the mainland and part of the Samui Archipelago. It has a population of just over 10.000, with about half living in the main town of Thong Sala, the island’s economic and administrative center. Other important towns include Chaloklum in the north, Srithanu in the west, and Haad Rin, known for its legendary Full Moon Parties, which attract thousands of visitors every month. Of course, there’s also plenty of street art and graffiti; much of it was created by vacationers, but some pieces are by local artists as well.
