In Belgrade between the streets Takovska, Vojvode Dobrnjca and Bulevar Despota Stefana, there is a large backyard with a parking lot and a recreation area for residents. Basically, it is a large concreted space with a few benches. Not necessarily nice for relaxing, but ideal for colorful art on the wall. And there is plenty of it here, from characters to numerous graffiti. Especially the artist METOD, who is from around that neighborhood, has painted several fantastic concept scenarios.

In 2016, after the death of the popular King Bhumibol Adulyadej or Rama IX, the ninth of the Chakri Dynasty, the provincial government of Chiang Rai commissioned a group of young artists led by the painter CHAWAS CHAMPASAEN to decorate the central bus station as part of the annual Flower Festival. Besides the artworks on the terminal there are also beautiful portrait paintings and motifs of history, tradition and local landscapes around the town.

From Rue de Villeneuve in the north of Nice, a single-lane road tunnel runs under the main train station to Avenue Durante in the south, the „Tunnel de la Gare“. Cars drive through it, but there is also a cycle lane and a walkway. For many years, pedestrians tended to avoid the tunnel because it was a dark and scary passageway, especially at night and it’s generally a bit weird around a central station anyway. But a little color and creativity could change that. The great local artist OTOM was commissioned by the City of Nice in spring of 2020 to create a mural throughout that tunnel and he developed a special concept for this named „Regards“.

On the cycle path on the Mainkai in Offenbach there is a half-ruined wall, in some places more complete, in other places partially crumbled. The jagged, ruinous surfaces offer an interesting underground for graffiti and urban art, with an industrial, crumbling charm. The wall begins at the level of the Hafengarten in the east and runs till the Walter Spiller Bridge. Regularly great graffiti jams and spray sessions take place at this spot. In Borgo San Paolo on the north-eastern side of Parco Braccini and along the two streets Via Gabriele D’Annunzio and Via Spalato, they pass directly along the park, there is a fantastic urban art paradise and graffiti hall of fame. On either side of both streets are long concrete walls, which are filled with cool pieces. An awesome spray space area, and it’s quite huge! Great events and jams have already taken place here, such as the various reunions of the TOTS CREW or the tribute memorial jam WE LOVE ENAK.

The fantastic painter and muralist ARTEZ creates huge artworks at lofty heights in Belgrade and around the whole world. His motifs often show people in everyday situations including creative abstractions that blend vibrant imagery with narrative depth. GREECE: Streetart Loutra Eleftheron – Abandoned Ghost Spa Urbex – Lost Place Graffiti

The former spa town of Loutrá Eleftheró with its thermal springs used to be a popular destination for healing therapies and relaxation. The spa was closed many years ago, the small village is meanwhile almost abandoned and the buildings are half in ruins, but this „ghost spa“ is still well worth a visit. The lost place offers a magical atmosphere in a mysterious valley, just like in enchanted fairyland. And of course there are some great graffiti and urban artworks here.

GERMANY: Chemnitz – Lost Place Graffiti – N*Dorphinclub – Urban Art at abandonded Discotheque

The N*DORPHINCLUB in Chemnitz was a project by Human Traffic e.V. to promote, strengthen and freely develop youth and subculture and also served as a youth and cultural center. Fantastic acts, especially from the drum & bass scene, but also from the electronic music genre in general, performed here and gave great sets at legendary parties. After bankruptcy in 2011 the half-ruined lost place has now developed into a small urbex oasis, filled with graffiti and urban works of art.
