POLAND: Streetart Toruń – Urban art at the Wisła river

Toruń is located in the Polish voivodeship Kujawsko-Pomorskie and has about 200,000 inhabitants. The old town was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, worth seeing are also the seat of the Voivodeship Parliament, the University of Toruń, the Roman Catholic Bishopric and overall the buildings in the city held in North German Brick Gothic. GERMANY: State Insane Asylum Domjüch – Lost Place Urbex – ARTBASE FESTIVAL

Urban art in lost places and forgotten worlds, such as an abandoned psychiatric ward. That’s what the ARTBASE festival offered in 2019 on the grounds of the former Domjüch state mental institution in Neustrelitz. More than 150 international artists and five Berlin collectives designed the walls of the asylum from the inside and outside with breathtaking works of art.

MALAYSIA: Streetart Malacca – Urban Art in the UNESCO World Heritage City

Malacca is a coastal city in southwestern Malaysia with a population of approximately 579,000 inhabitants. Special attractions are the 17th century Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, the Kampung Kling Mosque or Jonker Street in Chinatown with interesting antique stores and the famous night market. Malacca is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2008 and meanwhile also with interesting urban art in our archive.

ARGENTINA: Streetart Buenos Aires – Ciudad Autónoma – Parque Ferroviario Palermo – Urban Spray Space

The “Parque Ferroviario” or in English “Railway Park” in the Buenos Aires district of Palermo is a two-kilometer long aerobic path with walking trails,  slopes, an exercise island, a skateboarding area, a sensory garden and several playgrounds for sports. As well you can find great urban art around that space! The numerous walls along the highways and the boundaries have meanwhile become a graffiti hot spot and a creative hall of fame.

NEW ZEALAND: Streetart Napier – Artists for Oceans – PANGEA SEED and SEA WALLS

Napier, or in Maori “Ahuiri”, is a coastal city on the North Island of New Zealand with around 65,000 inhabitants. The city hosts probably the highest number (52) of mural works from the fantastic globalwide project SEA WALLS – ARTISTS FOR OCEANS of the PANGEA SEED FOUNDATION. With over 450 murals in 18 countries across the world this project unites and engages communities on a global scale, inspiring them to become better ocean stewards.

FRANCE: MAUSA Vauban – Musée d’Art Urbain et du Street Art – Urban Art in the fortress Neuf-Brisach

The MAUSA Vauban is a living museum of urban creations and street art on an area of nearly 1200m². This colorful place opened on July 7th, 2018 in the UNESCO walls of the historic fortress Neuf-Brisach, which was built by the Marquise de Vauban between 1698 and 1704. Since the inauguration, internationally renowned urban artists follow one another to paint the walls in front of visitors. Here we have a collection of the amazing artworks.

GERMANY: Streetart Frankfurt – Graffiti Jam – DD12 – Das Dreckige Dutzend – EVENT 2022

In September 2022 the awesome urban art event DAS DRECKIGE DUTZEND, or in English THE DIRTY DOZEN, took place in Frankfurt with their 9th spray session. This time more than 60 artists designed in total 230 meters of facade on several walls. As well a part of one of the industrial buildings was declared as a permanent legal spray wall due to the event. Check out the photos of the amazing artworks from the jam!

SWEDEN: Streetart Södertälje – Hall of Fame at the harbour of Västergård

Södertälje is a Swedish city with approximately 70,000 inhabitants in the historic province of Södermanland southwest of Stockholm. A fantastic Hall of Fame is located at Södertälje Hamn in the harbour neighborhood of Västergård with countless great works of art. Especially impressive are the mystical murals of animals and apocalyptic scenarios by artist and tattooist TOMAS SUNDERSTRAND.

CANADA: Streetart Montréal – Lachine – Duff Court Legal Wall – ARTIST GALLERY

The “Lachine Graffiti Program” by the “Comité Graffiti Lachine et Ville de Montréal” has been working since 2003 to raise public awareness of urban art. It also works to create links between the community, traders, community workers and graffiti artists. Every year, the Lachine Graffiti Program organizes a weekend jam session at the Duff Court Legal Wall. It is located at the noise barrier on highway 20 along the Michel-Ménard Park in Lachine borough. Here is a collection of the great creations from the past years sorted by artists.
