GERMANY: Streetart Halle an der Saale – Freiraumgalerie – Fantastic Urban Art Museum

The streetart photographer Alexej Roth from Heilbronn collected great photos of urban art during a trip to the town of Halle an der Saale, means next to the Saale river. Most of the artworks are located around Landsberg Street at the FREIRAUMGALERIE. For years the buildings around have been abandoned and the area was kind of a lost place. The artists brought life to it again. Not only with amazing paintings all over, there is even an artistic playground area where everybody can add some wood and be part of the creation process. It’s an alternative colorful place which you can admire by looking at, but further more the concept motivates you to take part in creating. Check out the photo gallery.

GERMANY: Artmos4 – We create atmosphere! – Marcus Dörr – BFREE – Sprayer & Graphic Designer

The graffiti artist and graphic designer Marcus Dörr has been active with spray cans since 1992, initially under his sprayer name BFREE, later additionally under the name of his founded graphics agency Artmos4. As a trained screen printer, he also uses various techniques that are actually unusual in graffiti. The results are beautiful flora and fauna sceneries and high quality works of art. Especially his hummingbirds and owls are quite famous meanwhile. We had Marcus as a studio guest on the show x-wie-raus at Radio X and talked about his art.

GERMANY: Streetart Map Rheine – Ems Side Gallery, Bodelschwing Bridge and Old Train Station

Rheine is a Westphalian city on the River Ems near the city of Münster and the Dutch border. It is more of a small town with around 80,000 inhabitants, but still with some beautiful street art and graffiti in the urban space. Well-known artists such as MAD C, VON SCHULZ, BUNTE WÄNDE and INNERFIELDS delivered great murals for the Ems Side Gallery. In addition, the ADL CREW aka ADLETICS is strongly represented here with great graffiti. The open spray area at the Bodelschwing Bridge and the lost place at the old train station with urbex atmosphere are highly recommended. Photographer Holger Peter was visiting Rheine, initially we only wanted to make a smaller article. But then so many photos came together, a total of 634 pics with 83 individual pages, enough to make a map.

GERMANY: Streetart Map Berlin – Urban Art Paradise at “Haus der Statistik”

The former seat of the State Central Administration of Statistics (SZS) of the GDR became the property of the Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks (BIMA) with the reunification of Germany. After the fall of the Wall, the “Haus der Statistik” (=House of Statistics) was used, among other things, by the office of the Federal Commissioner for the records of the State Security Service, also known as the Gauck or later Birthler authority. The authorities stayed there until 2008. Since then, the 45,000 m² building complex has been vacant. Till the artists came… Meanwhile it has become an amazing art paradise full of great works and new creations are constantly being created here nearly every day. GERMANY: Streetart Berlin – Brave Together – ANNE BENGARD, CARO PEPE, FABIFA & LA MIA

From 5th of May till 4th of June 2021 you can admire a new great collaboration artwork made by four local creatives in the Berlin district Friedrichshain close to the Postbahnhof. The artists Anne ‘Blondie’ Bengard and Caro Pepe painted two beautiful characters and the artists Fabifa and LaMia made as well two characters with their special tape techniques. The project is part of the campaign “Brave Together” curated by Book a Street Artist and Basa Studio.

GERMANY: Streetart Berlin – Stadtpiraten Exhibition in Lichtenberg

The STADTPIRATEN curated an exhibition in the gallery of the social fund of the Berlin construction industry which is located in the Lück Street 72 in the district Lichtenberg. The event took place from 19th March till 28th March in 2021. Here are the several fantastic creations sorted by artists. “Stadtpiraten” would mean in English “City Pirates”. During this great event visitors could admire the artworks from Anne Baerlin, Autark, Bibo, Caz.l, Coky One, Ducks Between Chucks, Gomez, Hoya, JMS, Kiezmiez, Lacuna, Niko, Opiemme, Textile Street Art, Wake Yakuza and Zonenkinder.

GERMANY: Streetart Berlin – Mauerpark Graffiti Zone at Prenzlauer Berg

The Graffiti Zone at the Berlin Mauerpark is an open spray area on the former east-west border in the district Prenzlauer Berg. The spot is very busy and fantastic pieces get painted here every day. They are often only visible for a short time because continously new artworks appear on top of the older ones. We have therefore considered a categorization by creators with chronological updates for the archive. Check out the artist gallery with meanwhile already 500 artists and more than 7000 photos.

Today we are going to introduce you to a terrific website that had a great impact on me and basically was together with some other important platforms and magazines an inspiring factor to start this Vagabundler project. For more than ten years now, the platform Dosenkunst by photographer Jörg Rudolph has been delivering fantastic graffiti material from the Rhine-Main area in Germany or from overseas, with awesome making-of reports, extensive background information and adventurous Urbex stories.

GERMANY: Sculptor Pit Ruge – Waldwerft, soap bubbles and pumpkin exhibitions

The sculptor Pit Ruge designs fantastic creatures and entire wonderful worlds of wood, wire and color in his open-air workshop “Waldwerft. ” For the  huge and famous pumpkin exhibitions, which have been taking place for over twenty years now throughout Germany, he and a team of artists fabricate the complete thematic scenarios including figures, which are then hung with pumpkins. The creative factory also produces works of art for countless other events, exhibitions and festivals.

GERMANY: Tooth Brush Soundsystem and fantastic DOMECAST – Pit Ruge

The Teufelsberg Domecast is a podcast series with ambient experimental live performances using the Dome at the top of Teufelsberg in Berlin as a natural parabolic reverb. Their mission is to gather hand picked artists with a deep interest for music experimentation in their distinctive musical background and they look for artists who are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of frequencies and putting the dome to the test of sound.
