TURKEY: Streetart Istanbul – Kad?köy – ?clal Karabekir Graffiti Wall – Urban Art Gallery

In the Kad?köy district of Istanbul on the southern part of the city you can find a long urban art wall at ?clal Karabekir Street, which is located between the Erenköy and Suadiye train station. Along that road there are several artworks, but especially around the crossing with Açelya Street is a real spray hot spot with magnificent creations. The area gets frequently visited and decorated by several local artists but also from abroad. The exact location of the artworks is on ?clal Karabekir around house number 11.

USA: Biltmore Train Writing – Urban art at the Tracks – Fantastic Yard Graffiti

This place is not a real train yard, it is more of a stabling point for trains that are parked here for longer periods of time. Naturally a perfect surface for graffiti. New trains keep arriving and departing. Over time, they are decorated with new graffiti. The area is located at the outskirts of the historic Biltmore Village close to Asheville within a short distance to the River Arts District. There is an elongated set of train compartments stretching about 200 meters.

ITALY: Streetart Milano – Navigli District – Urban Art in the Canal Neighbourhood

The Navigli district, with its two famous canals Naviglio Grande and Naviglio Pavese, is located in the center of Milan and is known for its many creative art galleries, hip second-hand stores and trendy clubs. The Mercato di Viale Papiniano flea market and the monthly Mercatone dell’Antiquariato antiques mart are also particularly popular. “Navigli” is the name of all the numerous typical canals in and around Milan, so it basically is the canal district. Along those idyllic waterways and around the quaint alleys, there are of course plenty of colorful urban works of art.

SWEDEN: Wargöns Bruk – Lost Place Graffiti at old Paper Factory on Wolf Island

The former Wargöns AB paper mill is located on the Göta Älv river in the southwest of Sweden near the municipality of Vargön. After its closure in 2008, a large part of the building complex was demolished, but the entrance portal with the wolf in the firm emblem still shows witness to the former company. Therefore, the place is also called “Wolf Island”. Today, the site is a mysterious and almost magical lost place, covered from top to bottom with countless pieces of graffiti and streetart. THAILAND: Streetart Bangkok – Wang Burapha Phirom – Ong Ang Walking Street

Wang Burapha Phirom is a so-called “Khwaeng” of the Phra Nakhon district in Bangkok, which means something like neighborhood or sub-district. It is home to the famous Ong Ang Walking Street, the popular night market and the large Khlong Ong Ang shopping center adjacent to Bangkok’s Chinatown. The market and area are located close to a canal and are known for their lively atmosphere, busy stalls and delicious food. But also for the many colorful urban creations.

GERMANY: Streetart Berlin – Wedding – Legendary Graffiti Wall at Napoleonkai and Allée du Stade

For many years, there existed a popular, but unofficial graffiti hotspot in the Wedding district of Berlin. Along the Napolenkai and on the Allée du Stade was the former gravel and rubble dumping ground, which was surrounded by a wall of concrete blocks. Perfect surface for spray can art. In February 2023, the soil sealing and walls were removed and unfortunately this graffiti spot no longer exists anymore. But in our archive you can still admire numerous photos!

CHILE: Streetart Angol – Nahuelbuta Graff Jam – Angol’s First Urban Art Festival

ZEN, the father of the character Smile, created the first graffiti festival ever held in Angol! He looked for sponsors, spoke with the Municipality, and with the support of musician OUCLASS and the culture center FRONTERA SUR, he organized and convened the NAHUELBUTA GRAFF FESTIVAL between February 23rd and 24th in 2024. Numerous artists from Angol and the region participated and painted several awesome walls around a soccer field close to the Rehue River. Check out the artworks from this “Encuentro Cultural de Graffiti”.

JAPAN: Urban Art Tokyo – Shibuya – Magnet by Shibuya 109 – Streetart Mall, Graffiti and Tags

MAGNET BY SHIBUYA 109 is a large multi-story shopping center located at the north exit of Shibuya Station in Tokyo. In addition to the famous RECOfan record base, there are countless underground shops, alternative fashion stores and lots of stuff for anime and manga fans. The entire staircase, the walls on the roof and some of the rooms were decorated with great works of art by numerous Japanese urban artists. This collection also includes streetart works, graffiti and tags in the area around the shopping center.

CHILE: Streetart Valparaíso – Maestranza Barón – Festival de Artes y Oficios

After the great first art event “Festival de Artes y Oficios” in 2023 this year the second edition took place in the historical buidling complex of the Maestranza Barón. Numerous local and national artists created fantastic works in large and small scale. The event was organized by the MARGINAL GALERIA and LA HOGUERA and all the collected funds during the happening went to families affected by the wildfires in Viña del Mar.

GERMANY: Hellenthal – Eifel – Bergwerk Grube Wohlfahrt – Historical Graffiti in Underground Mining

In many underground tunnels and roadways of historic mines, signs of the old surveyors, cryptic gedinge and heading signs, but also pit field boundary and breakthrough signs on the walls can often be discovered in underground mining.
