FRANCE: Streetart Toulouse – Côte Pavée – “The Battle of Toulouse” by artist SNAKE

On the occasion of the commemoration of the Battle of Toulouse, April 10, 1814, an 80-meter long fresco was created by the artist SNAKE on avenue Raymond Naves, on the very spot where General Taupin, a French general of the Revolution and the Empire, was mortally wounded. This battle has fascinated historians, as it has provoked controversial debates on both sides of the Channel. The British claim victory, as the coalition army (English, Spanish, Portuguese) commanded by Viscount Wellington finally entered Toulouse on April 12, greeted by the cheers of the royalists. CHILE: Streetart Angol – Abandoned Supermarket Urbex at José Luis Osorio

At the location of José Luis Osorio Street 10 in Angol is an abandoned and half-ruined building that used to be a supermarket many years ago. The former shopping place is totally run down and partly overgrown by nature, but it is as well a little streetart paradise and peppered with small to large interesting works of art. Photographer Salvador Seda has visited this area several times and created various galleries and interesting story writings with information to the artists of the tags, bombings and graffiti at this spot. Once he even met sprayer SNIP in action. Also included are works by DYRE, ROYER, AMAGO, PABLO ANTAY, RIE, ZEN, the ESKRITORES CREW and the TONS CREW.

GERMANY: Streetart Berlin – Fantastic Parkaue Art Space – Graffiti Wall, Theatre and Community Center

The “Theater an der Parkaue”, called “Junges Staatstheater Berlin” in the Lichtenberg district, is one of the largest state theaters for young audiences in Germany. “Who owns the stage and what takes place here?” – With this question, the theater opened its stage in 2020 and founded the Parkaue Community Theater. The Parkaue became the host for the whole city, a place and springboard for creative encounters, exchange and togetherness. People of all ages could experiment, try and meet each other in artistic formats free of charge. Behind the building complex there is as well a large graffiti wall with constantly changing great creations. NETHERLANDS: Longest Painting in Amsterdam – Foodstrip – KARSKI & BEYOND // BIER EN BROOD

In the summer of 2018, KARSKI & BEYOND and BIER EN BROOD joined forces to create the longest painting in Amsterdam. Commissioned by the Caransa group, a design was made for more than 160 meters in length, giving the client a lot of freedom. The entire wall was built especially for the artists. The two artist duos worked closely together to make the different styles flow together smoothly and to tell a continuous story. In a period of about four weeks, the entire painting was made in Southeast Amsterdam along the so-called Foodstrip.

ITALY: Teatro Colosseo Exhibition – Streetart in Blu 3 – BANKSY, BLU & ROBERT DEL NAJA

In June 2021 the fantastic exhibition “Streetart in Blu 3” opened its doors in the Teatro Colosseo with artworks from the famous leading urban artists BANKSY, BLU and ROBERT DEL NAJA aka 3D. The show rooms of the contemporary and alternative art museum at Via Madame Cristina 71 in Turin were peppered with magnificent creations made by those three masterminds. On information boards or on digital and audiovisual info screens, visitors were able to find out about the backgrounds of the works and makers. Additionally they showed an exciting interview with gallerist Steve Lazarides made by Andrea Olcese for the famous magazine Artibune. The exhibition was curated by Xora, Lacryma Lisnic and Serena Aisto with awesome lighting designs by Riccardo Bonis and Francesco Dell’Elba.

GERMANY: Streetart Halle an der Saale – Freiraumgalerie – Fantastic Urban Art Museum

The streetart photographer Alexej Roth from Heilbronn collected great photos of urban art during a trip to the town of Halle an der Saale, means next to the Saale river. Most of the artworks are located around Landsberg Street at the FREIRAUMGALERIE. For years the buildings around have been abandoned and the area was kind of a lost place. The artists brought life to it again. Not only with amazing paintings all over, there is even an artistic playground area where everybody can add some wood and be part of the creation process. It’s an alternative colorful place which you can admire by looking at, but further more the concept motivates you to take part in creating. Check out the photo gallery.

ARGENTINA: Streetart Buenos Aires – Paso Nazca Homage to Gilda, Guinzburg, Calabró and Mores

A huge fantastic mural in homage to Gilda, Guinzburg, Calabró and Mores at the Paso Bajo Level of Avenida Nazca displays images on its walls to remember these four illustrious neighbors of Commune 11. The enormous artwork was created in 2018. Gilda, Jorge Guinzburg, Juan Carlos Calabró and Mariano Mores lived in Commune 11. They were popular icons that stood out in different disciplines and the city of Buenos Aires wanted to pay tribute to them with this mural painted on the walls of one of the most important works from the neighborhood: the Paso Bajo Nivel on Nazca Avenue and the San Martín railroad tracks.

GERMANY: Artmos4 – We create atmosphere! – Marcus Dörr – BFREE – Sprayer & Graphic Designer

The graffiti artist and graphic designer Marcus Dörr has been active with spray cans since 1992, initially under his sprayer name BFREE, later additionally under the name of his founded graphics agency Artmos4. As a trained screen printer, he also uses various techniques that are actually unusual in graffiti. The results are beautiful flora and fauna sceneries and high quality works of art. Especially his hummingbirds and owls are quite famous meanwhile. We had Marcus as a studio guest on the show x-wie-raus at Radio X and talked about his art.

ARGENTINA: Photographer Analía Pertusi – Perts Jam – Streetart Map Buenos Aires

The photographer and streetart hunter Analía Pertusi not only lives in the city of good air called Buenos Aires, but also photographs and documents this fantastic good air atmosphere in a very creative and loving way. A few years ago she started her Instagram channel under the pseudonym Perts Jam, where you can regularly receive interesting streetart and graffiti content. Analía has a good eye for beauty, but at the same time she is a superb documenter and sees the overall picture. For the Vagabundler Project she works on the Streetart Map Buenos Aires and also contributes galleries and articles from places all over Argentina.

POLAND: Streetart Leszno – Independent city in the Wielkopolska Voivodeship – Urban Art Gallery

Leszno is a beautiful, medium-sized town in south-western Greater Poland (Wielkopolska), near the border with Silesia with a multinational and multicultural character. Many open-air events are organized throughout the year like the Glider Picnic, the Baroque Plus music festival or Leszno Delights. The City Theater, which is the first new public theater in Poland in 40 years, has also been operating here since 2016. And of course the city is also peppered with grandiose murals and beautiful street art. Photographer Agnieszka Pisarska has put together a collection of the greatest works.
