ROMANIA: Streetart Arad – Citizenit Project – Urban Art in the Northern Banat Region

Arad has around 145.000 inhabitants and is located in the south of the Kreisch region and in the north of the Banat, a major industrial center and important transport hub in the west of the country. Worth seeing are the Palace of Culture on George Enescu Square, the Turnului Water Tower, the Red Church and the Orthodox Holy Trinity Cathedral. Of course, there are also interesting works of urban art here, especially the non governmental association CITIZENIT is organizing a lot of colorful projects.

ITALY: Streetart Turin – Borgo Vittoria – Corso Venezia 1 – Street Attitudes Walls

In Borgo Vittoria in Turin, the main road Corso Venezia leads north from Piazza Generale Antonio Baldissera, and after about 50 meters, you will find a fantastic urban art spot with several works. On both sides of the street are walls approximately two meters high, which were embellished by colorful creations as part of the magnificent STREET ATTITUDES event, which took place from 7th to 9th October in 2022. It was the 7th edition and the 20th anniversary of this magnificent spectacle organized by the collective Il CERCHIO E LE GOCCE.

NORWAY: Streetart Harstad – Arctic Urban Art, Norge Graffiti and Festspillene

Harstad is a town in the province of Troms in northern Norway with a population of around 21.000. Worth seeing are the Tv-Tårnet observation tower, the Trondenes Center on the history of the Vikings, and the Trondenes Church, the world’s northernmost medieval stone church, built around 1250. The natural spectacle of the Northern Lights can be seen well from October to March, but the city offers not only colorful skies, but also colorful walls in the streets. Every year, the large music, theater, and art festival FESTSPILLENE I NORD NORGE aka ARCTIC ARTS FESTIVAL takes place and the collective ARCTIC WRITERS are also active time by time.

ARGENTINA: Streetart Buenos Aires – Sánchez de Bustamante – Rivadavia Hospital Urban Art Gallery

Along the outer walls of the Rivadavia Hospital grounds in the Recoleta district, there is a magnificent collection of artworks by various local artists. The project began in 2013, when the first pieces were created, but over the years, more have been added and faded ones have been painted over with new ones, with latest works were created in 2025. The nearly 40 creations of art are not typical graffiti or streetart pieces, but rather resemble canvases and oil paintings like in a museum. But here they are on the street, under the open sky and accessible to all passers-by. A wonderful embellishment of the streetscape.

SOUTH KOREA: Streetart Seoul – Wausan Urban Art Wall – Hongik University Graffiti

North of Hongik University, a small, inconspicuous alley leads eastward from the main street Wausan-ro into Wausan-ro 24-gil. Looking down the rather narrow street, you would think it enters to a residential area and would hardly guess that there is a beautiful open-air urban art gallery here with almost 30 magnificent murals. In 2012 and 2013, more than 70 students created fantastic works here as part of a streetart project. Check out the great artworks!

GERMANY: Streetart Lemwerder – Aussichtsturm Flood Barrier – Weser Side Gallery – Farbflut Festival

From 15th to 17th June in 2018, an extraordinary urban art spectacle took place right on the Weser River in the municipality of Lemwerder: the FARBFLUT FESTIVAL. More than 200 local, national, and international artists decorated the 920-meter-long and 3.5-meter-high flood protection wall on the western bank with countless magnificent works. This has created what is probably one of the largest open-air galleries in Germany, if not the largest, here in the Wesermarsch region. It’s called the WESER SIDE GALLERY.

SOUTH KOREA: Jeonju – Dashi Rock Media Festival – National Intangible Heritage Center – BBUREKA, MUTO & HAEPAARY

From 16th to 18th May 2025, the DASHI ROCK MEDIA FESTIVAL took place in the South Korean city of Jeonju, featuring fantastic live performances by musicians and DJs. The venue was at the National Intangible Heritage Center, where an extensive artists‘ market was also held, showcasing handicrafts and creative products as part of the Korean Craft Week. We were able to attend the event on Saturday and watched some of the acts, including BBUREKA, MUTO and HAEPAARY. The spectacle was breathtaking and grandly orchestrated with perfect sound and visual effects on huge stage screens.

AUSTRIA: Streetart Vienna – Flex Hall of Fame at Danube River – Wienerwände Donaukanal

The Flex Hall of Fame is one of the first legal graffiti areas in Vienna and is located on the Danube Canal near Schottenring. This spot has been legal since around 1994, when the city of Vienna opened up the area for legal graffiti art. The name “Flex” comes from the legendary techno and electro club Flex. As well the various riverbank spaces and promenades around are open walls and approved for legal spraying, it’s a huge open-air gallery. The Donaukanal is also regularly a part of the awesome urban art festival CALLE LIBRE.

ITALY: Streetart Turin – Pozzo Strada – Via Chambéry – La Climatica Graffiti Hall

In Turin’s Pozzo Strada district, there’s a large graffiti wall that has hosted numerous jams and spray painting events. It’s located on the south side at the eastern start of Via Chambéry and countless works adorn the facades of industrial buildings. The area encompasses lower and higher walls up to a tall warehouse, where large-scale works are also get created. From smaller graffiti pieces to enormous near-murals and incredible concept walls, you’ll find fantastic works by local artists. Several MURARTE events have also taken place here.
