GERMANY: Streetart Berlin – Urban Art Championat at North Side Gallery – Halloween Jam 2021

Time for a Graffiti Battle with a creepy Halloween theme! On October 31st an Urban Art Championship took place at the North Side Gallery in Berlin. The event was organized by Graffiti Battle TV with great support from Loop Colors, Graffiti Lobby Berlin, Emily Strange and the shop Graffiti Box. Bee Low and History of Berlin also provided support. Fantastic works of art were created on the walls in the park at the Nordbahnhof, matching the date with styles of Halloween. This event served as a preliminary decision for the Berlin contribution to the International Graffiti Battle 2022. DEJOE was awarded 1st place, followed by TWICK in 2nd place and SKIM in 3rd place. Altogether 20 artists participated at the event.

GERMANY: Streetart Map Insel Poel – Baltic Island Art in the Bay of Wismar

The Island of Poel is located in the Wismar Bay in the Baltic Sea near the city of Wismar. In 1997 it became a state-approved resort, and since 2004 the municipality has been known as the Ostseebad. Photographer and streetart hunter Holger Peter paid a visit to the Island of Poel and found several beautiful works of art spread over the area. The small and large murals often show motifs from local nature, fishing ships and the sea. Check out the collection and the new map!

GERMANY: Street Art Berlin Project at Alexanderplatz – A-FENCE

A-FENCE is one of the largest streetart projects in Berlin curated by Street Art Berlin. Over a period of two years, various different artists already played and will play on the approximately 240-meter-long wall. With this construction fence, developer Covivio offers the artists an area that is used as a platform for artistic expression and interpretation of the respective topic. In January 2021 the first works from Age Age and the duo Ron Miller have been finished, later on several fantastic others followed. Here we have the great creations from Carolina Amaya, Cokyone, Dr.Molrok, Emma Rytoft, Ekaterina Koroleva, Rommy González, Kottitaube, Pekor, Rabea Senftenberg, Sr Papá Chango and the duo Zebu. GERMANY: Streetart Berlin – Fantastic Parkaue Art Space – Graffiti Wall, Theatre and Community Center

The “Theater an der Parkaue”, called “Junges Staatstheater Berlin” in the Lichtenberg district, is one of the largest state theaters for young audiences in Germany. “Who owns the stage and what takes place here?” – With this question, the theater opened its stage in 2020 and founded the Parkaue Community Theater. The Parkaue became the host for the whole city, a place and springboard for creative encounters, exchange and togetherness. People of all ages could experiment, try and meet each other in artistic formats free of charge. Behind the building complex there is as well a large graffiti wall with constantly changing great creations. GERMANY: Streetart Map Rheine – Ems Side Gallery, Bodelschwing Bridge and Old Train Station

Rheine is a Westphalian city on the River Ems near the city of Münster and the Dutch border. It is more of a small town with around 80,000 inhabitants, but still with some beautiful street art and graffiti in the urban space. Well-known artists such as MAD C, VON SCHULZ, BUNTE WÄNDE and INNERFIELDS delivered great murals for the Ems Side Gallery. In addition, the ADL CREW aka ADLETICS is strongly represented here with great graffiti. The open spray area at the Bodelschwing Bridge and the lost place at the old train station with urbex atmosphere are highly recommended. Photographer Holger Peter was visiting Rheine, initially we only wanted to make a smaller article. But then so many photos came together, a total of 634 pics with 83 individual pages, enough to make a map.

GERMANY: Streetart Map Berlin – Urban Art Paradise at “Haus der Statistik”

The former seat of the State Central Administration of Statistics (SZS) of the GDR became the property of the Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks (BIMA) with the reunification of Germany. After the fall of the Wall, the “Haus der Statistik” (=House of Statistics) was used, among other things, by the office of the Federal Commissioner for the records of the State Security Service, also known as the Gauck or later Birthler authority. The authorities stayed there until 2008. Since then, the 45,000 m² building complex has been vacant. Till the artists came… Meanwhile it has become an amazing art paradise full of great works and new creations are constantly being created here nearly every day. GERMANY: Streetart Berlin – Brave Together – ANNE BENGARD, CARO PEPE, FABIFA & LA MIA

From 5th of May till 4th of June 2021 you can admire a new great collaboration artwork made by four local creatives in the Berlin district Friedrichshain close to the Postbahnhof. The artists Anne ‘Blondie’ Bengard and Caro Pepe painted two beautiful characters and the artists Fabifa and LaMia made as well two characters with their special tape techniques. The project is part of the campaign “Brave Together” curated by Book a Street Artist and Basa Studio.

GERMANY: Streetart Berlin – Stadtpiraten Exhibition in Lichtenberg

The STADTPIRATEN curated an exhibition in the gallery of the social fund of the Berlin construction industry which is located in the Lück Street 72 in the district Lichtenberg. The event took place from 19th March till 28th March in 2021. Here are the several fantastic creations sorted by artists. “Stadtpiraten” would mean in English “City Pirates”. During this great event visitors could admire the artworks from Anne Baerlin, Autark, Bibo, Caz.l, Coky One, Ducks Between Chucks, Gomez, Hoya, JMS, Kiezmiez, Lacuna, Niko, Opiemme, Textile Street Art, Wake Yakuza and Zonenkinder.
