On May 26th 2022, more than 40 urban artists redesigned parts of the North Side Gallery during the FATHER’S DAY JAM. Regardless of origin, socio-economic status and gender, the walls of the North Side Gallery, legalized by the GRAFFITI LOBBY BERLIN, were painted, glued and colourfully decorated together. Additionally the artist OLA from the STADTPIRATEN together with the artist DYSM diligently glued two large paste-up walls. Check out the huge photo gallery from the event!

The 21er Gallery‘s spray area includes several close by spots in the Berlin district of Moabit which the collective takes care of. The Union Sport Hall at Siemens Street is one of those creative places and new works are designed there at regular intervals. Projects and festivals take place, such as the annually Anti Racism Jam. From 7th till 27th of May 2022 the exhibition ENERGETIC ART 2 took place at the MINIMALISTIX GALLERY in Bülow Street 11 in Berlin. It is the third exhibition at the new wonderful art space in the premises of CENGIZ TATAR‘s allaround shop where the project started with a first vernissage on February 10th, 2022. This third event shows works from the eight artists TALISSA MEHRINGER, HÜLPMAN, ANGELA MARTINEZ, PHISEL, CAROLINE O, MERLIN 007 and RABEA SENFTENBERG.

May the Force be with you! STAR WARS is without a doubt one of the greatest space epics of all time. The old films are of course absolute cult, there are also some missteps with the newer ones, but the universe is constantly expanding and the creators behind it keep on writing and inventing diligently new offshoots. The Mandalorian is for sure a super awesome series and the portrait films are also great, not to mention computer games, comics or books, but also urban art! Moabit shows flag! With cool music, graffiti and creative standing together against racism and discrimination heaps of artists participated at the “Anti Racism Jam 2022”, which took place from March 25th to 27th around the “Center for Art and Urbanism” (ZK/U). The event was organized by the 21ER GALLERY and magnificent works of art were created over the three days on the large concept wall and on the facades of the Union Sports Hall. On March 8th, the International Women’s Day, the great EQUAL JAM 2022 took place on the walls of the North Side Gallery. Over 85 local urban artists painted, pinned, glued and sprayed on the subject of equality and designed a huge and unique open-air gallery for Berlin. The current war of aggression by Russia against Ukraine, which started on 24th of February 2022, is a disastrous catastrophe and shocks the whole world. Every day we receive news about the terrible events, about the fighting of the troops, the destruction and above all the suffering and fear of the population. Several urban artists in Berlin have expressed their absolute rejection of the cruel actions, their concerns and their big protest against this war in meaningful works of art. It also strongly shows a sign of solidarity to Ukraine at this difficult times. Stop this war and stop all wars in general!

As the name suggests, the MINIMALISTIX GALLERY & COFFEE run by owner CENGIZ TATAR offers creative art and tasty coffee, but also everyday useful things. This new wonderful free mind space opened its doors on 10th of February 2022 with a great starting event in Bülow Street 11 in the Berlin district Schöneberg. Till 26th of February the gallery is open from 7 till 9 pm and the exhibition organized by GOMEZ and PETRA BRANKE aka MERLIN 007 will end on Saturday with a finissage. The other artists involved were JPS, PZY, MR SASA, BUBBLES, CASE, HOMBRE LOPEZ, FEFE, IMED ART, ANDRÉ KROMMER and HARALD HASSI.

The Tierpark Center in Berlin Lichtenberg is becoming a temporary open air gallery. Seven Berlin artists for urban art designed the wall surface of the center with motifs specially developed for the location in December 2021. The creative temporary use was made possible by the on-site center management together with the child and adolescent psychotherapist Andrea Stöckmann aka EMILY STRANGE and Ulrike Gohla from the STADTPIRATEN. The motto for the motifs is “Fare Well” and the involved creators were AGE AGE, CARO PEPE, COKYONE, LACUNA, MATE, SPOARE 153 and SR. PAPÁ CHANGO. Check out their awesome artworks!
