Through her collaboration with PANDION and TRANSIT RÄUME, artist GITA KURDPOOR started in January 2023 as the first resident to design a former cab Showroom in the Prinzessinnenstrasse in Berlin Kreuzberg with her art. She has decided to exhibit her “Animal Collection” and to bring oversized on the walls. She made this decision in reference to Kreuzberg and its diversity. The exhibition will last until 30th of June 2023, possibly there will be an extension.

On March 5th, 8th and 9th on the occasion of the International Women’s Day, the great EQUAL JAM 2023 took place on the walls of the North Side Gallery with its second edition. More than 70 local urban artists painted, pinned, glued and sprayed on the subject of equality and created a huge and unique open-air gallery for Berlin on more than 1200 m². A place of history, culture and art. The listed HAUS SCHWARZENBERG at the Hackescher Markt is home to a variety of facilities such as artists’ studios, an art-house cinema, memorials, a bar and galleries. In addition, there are commercial enterprises. In 1995, the “Verein Schwarzenberg” or in English the “Schwarzenberg Association” was founded and has been working since then cost-covering and economically independent, i.e. it receives no subsidies or other support. The association not only manages and rents out the space, but also promotes mainly young and unknown artists through the gallery NEUROTITAN.

The Hall of Fame of the Mierendorf Insel is a legal graffiti space at Lise-Meitner Street 50 in the Berlin district Charlottenburg. At this spot continously magnificent works of art are getting created by the top artists. During the last years we photographed heaps of awesome creations and documented numerous jams and spray sessions. Check out the huge archive with more than 130 artists and several thousand photos.

Over four days in early December 2022, the North Side Gallery was colorfully redesigned under the theme “Armut X Reichtum”, which means in English “Poverty X Wealth”. More than 30 artists sprayed and painted grandiose works on the main wall on the West Part and on the wall on the East Part during December 1st, 3rd, 4th and 8th. The jam was organized by EMILY STRANGE with support from the GRAFFITI LOBBY BERLIN. Check out the awesome creations from the event!

Between 7th and 9th of October the colorful graffiti event „21 Jam Street“ was organized by the 21ER GALLERY and magnificent works of art were created over the three days on the large Concept Wall between Siemens Street and Erna Samuel Street and also on the facades of the Hambacher Wall, which is a new location at the corner of Erna Samuel Street and Siemens Street and managed by the 21 GALLERY. The old post station in the Berlin district Spandau – the URBAN ART HALL – was a creative art space for many years and the outside walls became an urban gallery with wonderful creations. Colorful undertakings happend here, great events took place or frequently spray sessions and you could find masterpieces from local and international artists. The building complex was demolished meanwhile, but here in our archive you can still admire the fantastic artworks in the subpages for each artist.

On the 6th, 8th and 9th of October 2022 another great jam took place at the North Side Gallery with more than 50 fantastic creators taking part. Local and international urban artists redesigned the walls of the North Side Gallery with the theme “Urban Art for a Better World“. For the protection of the environment, freedom of speech, a life without violence and war, a humanistic attitude and respect for the dignity of each individual!

From 13th of August till 30th of September 2022 the exhibition of artist FRANK WILLEMS takes place at the MINIMALISTIX GALLERY in Bülow Street 11. Another great event at the wonderful art space in the premises of CENGIZ TATAR‘s allaround shop where the project started with an first vernissage on February 10th, 2022. The artist works a lot with double-layered images and ambiguous messages. For this he often uses black light and a picture looks completely different in the black light than without.
