POLAND: Streetart Białystok – Fabulous Murals in the Podlaskie Voivodeship

Białystok is the capital and only major metropolis of the Polish Podlaskie Voivodeship. Throughout its history it has been a multilingual and culturally diverse city, as evidenced by the bright and colorful urban art on the walls of the houses that combine modern techniques with historical memories. CANADA: Artist Maxilie Martel – MONO SOURCIL – Lovely Monster Murals and Diverse Character Universe

The fantastic artist MAXILIE MARTEL aka MONO SOURCIL from Montreal embellishes huge walls and facades in urban areas with her colorful and comiclike murals filled with weird and funny-scary characters. She started with small stickers and initially drew mainly business people in stress mode. At some point the figures became more and more oblique, the works of art bigger and bigger. Still her trademark is the “uni-brow”, which appears continously on her artworks and also reflects the meaning of the name. Mono Sourcil means uni-brow.

GERMANY: Frankfurt Graffiti Jam DD12 – Das Dreckige Dutzend – The Dirty Dozen – Event Archive

The jam series “Das Dreckige Dutzend” or in English “The Dirty Dozen” is a regular graffiti and hip hop event which the artist Niclas Hatwig aka AMBER brought to life in 2017. As the title suggests, initially 12 participants were planned to design a bridge wall near Frankfurt’s Westbahnhof, but meanwhile more than 50 sprayers are involved in these spectacles. Once or twice a year, large walls are redesigned in collaboration and the jam is accompanied by hip hop acts, breakdance and DJ music. Check out the huge archive from the the last events!

ECUADOR: Streetart Cuenca – Collection & Map – Urban Artworks of the Azuay Province

Cuenca was founded on April 12, 1557 as ‘Santa Ana de los Cuatro Ríos de Cuenca’ by the Governor and Captain General of Quito Gil Ramírez Dávalos. With around half a million inhabitants, it is the third largest city in Ecuador and the capital of the province of Azuay. It is located south of Quito in an Andean highland basin at an altitude around 2600 meters with the Río Tomebamba flowing through the city. Of course there are numerous great works of art in the urban space, many with influences from the art, tradition and culture of the indigenous cultures mixed with elements of today’s modernity.

The graffiti artist Niclas Hatwig is better known to many under the name AMBER, which he also paints in his artworks. Sometimes with colorful characters. He has been involved with urban art since his youth, but not only paints himself, furthermore he organizes great events and gives workshops. In 2017 he started the jam series “Das Dreckige Dutzend” or in English “The Dirty Dozen”. AMBER connects the art scene and offers a great creative platform.

CHILE: Graffiti Artist DYRE – Fantastic Wild Style peppered with Tags and Flops

DYRE is a graffiti artist who makes flops and tags. Sometimes he uses DIRE because it fits better with the style he is working on. His team is the fabulous Eskritores Graffiti Crew aka EKR. The artist lives now in the Chilean city of Angol due to his job as a risk manager working in a forestry company. However, his real passion is graffiti. ARGENTINA: Streetart Buenos Aires – Tribute to footbal legend Diego Armando Maradona

Diego Armando Maradona Franco was an Argentine football player and coach. He is one of the “legends of world football” and is considered one of the best football players in history. Already as a younger player he was called “El Pibe de Oro” – “The golden Boy”. In his career Maradona took part in four World Cup tournaments in 1982, 1986, 1990 and 1994. Altogether the footballist scored 34 goals in 91 international matches. Maradona died on November 25th 2020 in Dique Luján in Argentina. This page is dedicated to the great athlete and shows numerous artworks that have been created as tributes and homages to honorable Maradona across the city of Buenos Aires.

ALBANIA: Streetart Tirana – Mural Fest Tirana – Praxinho’s Urban Art Collection

Fabulous travel photographer and world explorer Praxinho aka Praxi Deluxe brought some awesome photo material from his journey to the Albanian capital Tirana. Since 2018 the fantastic MURAL FEST TIRANA takes place in the streets and numerous artists from all around the globe have been invited in the previous years. This great event is hosted annually by the local art agency DEKORI with its director Henril Cule and with support by 167/B STREET. In the city you can find as well many old fashioned artworks from decades ago in mosaic style. Here is a collection from Praxinho, these artworks and many more are also located on the Streetart Map Tirana.

Fantastic spray art in which you can dive into or that jumps towards you. WildStyle at its best! Mostly liquid, but it sticks firmly to the wall. We interviewed the artist BERND EISOLD aka BERK about his awesome graffiti artworks. He is not only active as an artist himself, but also tries passionately to support other artists and newcomers. As a sprayer BERK enjoys doing urban art, but is also deeply connected to the art scene and tries to educate other people, gives workshops, advocates more art spaces in local councils and, above all, is committed to more free areas for the graffiti world. A very creative and brilliant person who should be supported!

NETHERLANDS: Streetart Amsterdam – Sint Nicolaasstraat 19 – Art Space “SECRET GARDEN”

A very cool new street art spot in the center of Amsterdam opened its doors not long ago! It’s called the Secret Garden and you can access this hidden gem via Nicholas Groente & Fruit at Sint Nicolaasstraat 19. It’s a cute little shop that sells high quality artisanal (food) products and art. As well they have comics, books, posters and prints. The lovely store is run by Brian and the little associated backyard gallery called Secret Garden has meanwhile 50 artworks and still counting! The entrance is free for everyone. Just ask for this creative place in the shop.
