GERMANY: Streetart Bremen – HIDDEN TREASURE – Urban Art Festival – Largest Black Light Graffiti in the World

The HIDDEN TREASURE in Bremen is the world’s first black light urban art festival. The artists work together according to predetermined color concepts, using only black and six blacklight colors. From August 18th to 20th August in 2023, over 50 graffiti creators painted the huge outdoor area at the Alte Werft at Stephanikirchenweide 19. As a highlight of the festival, the main wall was completely illuminated with black light at night, creating the largest black light graffiti in the world. BELGIUM: Nearly abandoned village Doel – Transformation into an Urban Art Paradise

Doel is part of the municipality of Beveren in the Flemish province of East Flanders in Belgium. Plans to expand the huge closeby Antwerp Port to Doel and demolish the village have been in place since 1965. However, continuous protests by the villagers have prevented this so far. In the meantime, graffiti has been used as a helpful tool and the village declared itself as kind of an open urban art gallery. Of course this attracts a lot of artists from all around and also art loving visitors. Also since 2022 the fantastic DOEL FESTIVAL organized by PARADISE CITY and KLUB DRAMATIK takes place regularly with international djs, musicians and urban creators.

GERMANY: Streetart Frankfurt – Bonames – Jugendhaus am Bügel – Graffiti & Jams – ARTIST GALLERY

The youth center JUGENDHAUS AM BÜGEL in Frankfurt’s Bonames district has been a meeting point for graffiti, breakdance and hip hop for decades. The annual CHARACTER JAM is widely known and attracts both painters and fans of the genre. IRELAND: Streetart Dublin – Liberty Lane – Spray Wonderland – Artist Open Air Gallery

In terms of infrastructure, Liberty Lane is actually just a small side street behind the houses on the main street. A small hidden alley. From an artistic perspective, however, it is simply one of the city’s main spots, full of color from top to bottom and littered with grandiose works of art. From big to small! The artworks change here continuously, after a week it can look completely different again. It’s just a fantastic little hidden open air gallery.

SWEDEN: Graffiti Artist CABEL – GBG Graff Magazine – Underground Hall, Graffiti Jams & Creative Projects in Gothenburg

The graffiti artist CABEL focuses on writing and letters, but he says that a good artist should be able to paint anything. Mostly it is his wildstyle name, but in addition to the great alphabetical formations, his art also includes a lot of times characters or a mixture of them in spacey atmospheres. CYPRUS: Streetart Larnaka – Around Grigori Afxentiou – Parking Yard Graffiti and Urban Creations

Grigori Afxentiou is a bigger street going from west to east leading from Larnaka center to the beach. It is an urban area with many multi-storey residential buildings and accordingly there are also several parking areas, and there you can find lots of graffiti and artworks on the walls. On the main street are some stores that have been decorated by artists and there are also beautiful works of art at a nearby school. The artist PAPARAZZI in particular, whose studio is just around the corner, has left behind a number of creations and continues to create new ones.

Flekkefjord is a small but idyllic municipality in the Norwegian Fylke Agder with nearly 9200 inhabitants. Zehlendorf town hall is getting colorful! From December 5th in 2023 till March 31st in 2024, more than 115 street art exhibits by over 70 artists can be admired on two floors of the Zehlendorf town hall. The exhibition was organized by the VERBUND GRAFFITI & STREETART SZ and the project STREETLIFE 2.0, in initiated by the artists PHILIP NADOLL and JONAS QUENTIN.
