CLUB HAUSTOR is located in the centre of Podgorica and offers much more than an ordinary bar. It is a unique meeting place that brings together cafés, culture, music and urban art. The art space combines different aspects of the city’s alternative cultural scene and offers a glimpse into Podgorica’s creative side.

The venue is an eye-catcher even from the outside. Particularly impressive is the colourful entrance, decorated with artistic mosaics and vibrant tiles. The different colours, shapes and patterns give the façade a distinctive, almost playful character. Right in front of the club, there is a narrow tunnel passage that is equally remarkable. Its walls are covered with numerous street art pieces, graffiti, illustrations and other artistic motifs. The sheer variety of works turns the passage into a small open-air urban gallery, with something new to discover at almost every glance. Mosaic art and street art come together here to create a unique visual experience, making the visit an artistic discovery even before entering the club.

The concept of Haustor perfectly complements its creative surroundings. The venue combines the relaxed atmosphere of a café with the character of an alternative bar and cultural meeting place. During the day, visitors can enjoy a coffee and soak up the informal atmosphere, while in the evening the club transforms into a lively meeting point for music, socialising and cultural events. Its interior is individual, somewhat nostalgic and deliberately different from the polished appearance of conventional modern bars. This combination of personal charm, alternative design and local atmosphere is precisely what makes the place so special. The venue also features a dartboard and outdoor seating.

Haustor has also established itself as a venue for various cultural events and music formats. One example is the international tango festival Tango en Flor, which took place in Podgorica from 25th to 27th April 2025. Haustor served as the venue for the festival’s Sunday evening tango after-party. Regular Argentine tango evenings, known as milongas, have also been organised here by the local dance initiative “Tango i tačka”. On these occasions, the club becomes a place for dancing, cultural exchange and international encounters.

The local music scene is another important part of Haustor’s identity. On 2nd October 2026, for example, an evening celebrating the local music scene took place with Dado Be Real and DJ Ščepo. The programme included rock, alternative, metal and rap. Another Domestic Music Night was announced for 16th October 2026, featuring a musical tribute to Goran Bare, complemented by a karaoke night. These events demonstrate that Haustor is not simply a place to go out, but also a platform for local artists, DJs and a wide variety of musical styles.

What makes the venue particularly interesting is the connection between its cultural life inside and the artistic design of the public space outside. The mosaics and numerous street art pieces make Haustor a place where art is not confined to galleries or museums, but becomes a natural part of everyday urban life. Although the exact history of the individual mosaics and the identities of the artists involved are not yet clearly documented, the artistic surroundings vividly reflect the creative, experimental and alternative atmosphere of the venue.
