Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with around 382.000 inhabitants, is the largest city in the Canary Islands. Highlights include the historic district of Vegueta, with the Catedral de Santa Ana and Casa de Colón, the elegant neighborhood of Triana, and the long sandy beach of Las Canteras. Beyond its colonial architecture and museums, contemporary art is an important part of the city’s identity. Colorful murals, streetart and graffiti can be found throughout the streets, especially in its older and more creative neighborhoods. Art lovers can also visit the contemporary art museum Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno, or in short CAAM. The following collection of urban artworks was photographed by streetart hunter MAZZANTI.

„Nada es para siempre, pero hazlo inolvidable” – „Nothing lasts forever, but we can make it unforgettable“ – Julián González Pérez Memorandum – CESER 87 & SAKER
This wall was made in memory of bodyboarder Julián González Pérez, who died in December 2022 at El Frontón because of an accident. Meanwhile they changed the building and implemented a food place, therefore the part of the wall with the phrase is not visible anymore, but they kept the portrait in his honour.
