Maspalomas is a popular resort in the south of Gran Canaria, known for its sunny climate, miles of sandy beaches, and lively tourist infrastructure. The area is particularly notable for the famous Maspalomas Dunes, a nature reserve with impressive sandy landscapes reminiscent of a small desert and a popular destination for walks and photo tours. Another highlight is the Maspalomas Lighthouse, which has been a landmark of the region since 1890. Culture lovers can visit the Palmitos Park nature reserve, a botanical and zoological garden that is home to exotic animals, birds, and tropical plants.
