SOUTH-AFRICA: Cape of Good Hope

On a trip to South Africa and Cape Town, the picturesque Cape of Good Hope is of course one of the main spots you should have seen. The spectacularly shaped peninsula between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans rises like an arrow into the maritime border area and frames a paradisiac white sandy beach, where turquoise blue waves break. We stayed for a few days in Mothercity, as Cape Town is often called, and explored the region by rental car. As far as you can handle the traffic on the left, this is probably the cheapest and most flexible exploration opportunity. Of course, many things also go by public transport and countless tours and day trips are offered, but if you want to avoid the big tourist crowds and prefer a free time schedule, then we clearly recommend the rental car. The easiest way to book the vehicle you want at Avis, Europcar, Budget, Tempest or Thrifty is to pick up and drop off directly at the airport.

CANADA: Ronley Teper´s Lipliners

We had again a very nice studio visit. A band from Toronto was announced. Before the show I did a little research and listened to some songs on the internet. Very nice, funny and interesting music. I could not assign the singers voice to the person, wasn´t sure who, and if this „Ronley“ was a man or a woman, a bandplayer or this incredible frontwoman. I just communicated with this person via Email. But she (so means a woman) runs the show (means the band, not the radio show, this should I do), but she´s the boss and the networker of the music collective. It´s a nice and great network of musicians who connect for projects, jam-sessions, concerts or bigger tours.

But there was no bus, at least none in the next eight hours.

BRITAIN: Logan´s Close – Scotland Rock ’n’ Roll

Carl Marah and Scott Rough are listening to music since they were little children, but the Swinging Sixties just got into their heads and kept on pushing them to the stage. They wanted to produce and play what they love. In 2014 the two 60s music lovers started to do gigs with musician Mick Reilly about the sound of this era. It was the foundation of the fantastic band Logan´s Close. Drums, two guitars, lead and rhythm, and their voices was quite alright for the beginning, but surely there was something missing.
