Edmonton is the capital of the Canadian province of Alberta. North of Calgary, it benefits from the economic activity linked to the oil sands and is experiencing growth. The city is worth a visit. It’s built on cliffs on both sides of the North Saskatchewan River, offering lovely walks along the riverbank. On the south side is Old Strathcona, the historic heart of the city. Today, it’s a trendy neighborhood bisected by Whyte Avenue. There are many murals and streetart, thanks to the fantastic EDMONTON MURAL FESTIVAL.
