GERMANY: Graffiti Frankfurt – Ratswegkreisel Hall – 1 Year Montana Store Jam – 25th May 2024

The fantastic MONTANA STORE in Frankfurt has now been open for a year and this occasion was celebrated in style with an awesome event weekend. There was a great party in the shop, but the highlight came the next day with the “1 Year Montana Birthday Jam” at the Ratswegkreisel Hall and around 150 artists came to spray! BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA: Former Olympic Bobsleigh Track Trebević – Lost Place Graffiti

The former Trebević Olympic bobsleigh slope near Sarajevo was an artificial ice track on Mount Trebević, where the competitions for the 1984 Winter Olympics were held. During the war in 1991 parts of the slope were badly damaged and restoration would have been too expensive, so the sports facility has lain fallow ever since and is no longer used by athletes, but all the more by spray can artists. The entire track is painted with graffiti and characters from the summit to the valley! A fantastic and picturesque lost place in the middle of the mountain landscape.

CROATIA: Streetart Split – Graffiti and Urban Art Collection – Diocletian & Hajduk

Split is with 159,000 inhabitants the second largest city in Croatia and is popularly known as the inofficial “Capital of Dalmatia”. The port city is famous for the fortress-like palace complex in the center, built in the 4th century by the Roman Emperor Diocletian. The city center and the palace were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. Also recommended for a visit are the University, the Saint Dominius Cathedral and the beautiful beaches. Of course, great artworks and graffiti can also be found in the urban space.

GERMANY: Streetart Berlin – Moabit – 21er GALLERY – ANTI RACISM JAM 2024

In March it was time again for the annual ANTI RACISM JAM in Moabit at the spraygrounds of the 21ER GALLERY with around 40 creators. Every year the popular jam brings top-class artists to the walls with fantastic concept collaborations to make a colorful statement against racism and discrimination. The event on 22nd and 23rd March 2024 was organized by TOMSTA and KARAME21 with the support of CAPTAIN PAINT and the 21ER GALLERY.

SRI LANKA: Historic Galle – Dutch Fortress, Old Lighthouse and UNESCO World Heritage Site

Galle is a city with around 93,000 inhabitants on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka and is known for its large fort complex and the colonial old town, which were classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. The fort was built by the Portuguese in 1588 and conquered and extended by the Dutch in 1649. The old town, enclosed by the fortification walls and cannon stands, is an interesting sight with cafés, stores, museums and hotels in the architectural style of the 16th century. On the south-eastern coastal tip of the fort is the Galle Lighthouse, built in 1938.

ESTONIA: Urban Art Tallinn – Telliskivi Loomelinnak – MESA JAM – MaEiSaaAru Festival

The art festival “Ma Ei Saa Aru“, which means in English “I Don’t Understand”, is a great multi disciplinary event which is held annually since 2021 at the Telliskivi Loomelinnak, the “Creative City”. In its first edition there was also the MESA graffiti jam included in the festival and numerous urban artworks got sprayed at the graffiti backyard and around the permisses. The festival focuses on one field of art each year and numerous artists contribute with colorful artworks around the area.

SRI LANKA: Streetart Kandy – Urban Art in the Sacred City – Historical Mural and Modern Graffiti

Kandy is a large city with around 160,000 inhabitants on a plateau in the middle of the country surrounded by idyllic tea plantations and species-rich rainforests. There is also a palace complex and various Buddhist holy sites, including the famous temple Sri Dalada Maligawa, where a tooth of Buddha is enshrined. Kandy is therefore also known as the Sacred City. Accordingly, there are also many urban artworks in the streets depicting historical and religious scenes, but also with modern motifs.

THAILAND: Meeting of Styles Hua Hin – Abandoned Factory Graffiti – Lost Place Urban Art in the Jungle

Hua Hin is located in the center of the country on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand and is the oldest beach resort of the Thai royal family, and therefore also for countless tourists. Also the fantastic global graffiti project MEETING OF STYLES organized its first event in Thailand around an abandonded factory near the city in the jungle. More than 50 local and international artists created awesome artworks on April 5th and 6th in 2014, several can still be seen.
