Split is with 159,000 inhabitants the second largest city in Croatia and is popularly known as the inofficial “Capital of Dalmatia”. The port city is famous for the fortress-like palace complex in the center, built in the 4th century by the Roman Emperor Diocletian. The city center and the palace were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. Also recommended for a visit are the University, the Saint Dominius Cathedral and the beautiful beaches. IVAN SVAGUŠA & LUKA DUPLANČIĆ
This great mural is titled “Mozda bi vam bolje bilo daniste tu” which means in English “Maybe it would be better for you to stay here” and was created by the two local artists IVAN SVAGUŠA aka SVAIG and LUKA DUPLANČIĆ. The artwork is based on the illustration by ALEM ĆURIN and was also used for the poster of the 48th Split Summer festival several years ago. The murals was inaugurated in 2022 on the 66th edition of the Split Summer.
