The fantastic MONTANA STORE in Frankfurt has now been open for a year and this occasion was celebrated in style with an awesome event weekend. There was a great party in the shop on May 24th at Berliner Straße 37, but the highlight came the next day with the “1 Year Montana Birthday Jam” at Ratswegkreisel. This is the largest hall in Frankfurt and one of the biggest halls not only in the region, but also in Germany. The area is really huge with a lot of space to spray on and the days before just all the walls were completely primed with paint in light grey. Back to Zero. Big Thanks to MONTANA, they supported the whole event and each of the 150 (!!!) announced artists got as many free cans for spray as needed for their piece. And on Saturday everybody was invited to paint! It’s an incredibly huge area of bridges and tunnels, but there really wasn’t a single spot that wasn’t painted! Everywhere people were doing stuff! Each person painted in a different style, but everything was colorful and simply great! After several years of silence, it was finally a big event again at Ratswegkreisel, if not THE biggest event ever in terms of the number of people taking part. It was fantastic! The Artists and the Artworks
Here we have a great concept wall in legendary VAUGHN BODĒ style made by the GPK CREW aka GARBAGE PAIL KIDS. We are not sure about who really participated or if somebody sprayed greeting names of crew members, but named are CZAR, ROYCE, TRIFE, CLER, PLYNT, ROAM, BATOU and MEPH and others. We are not sure about that part here, so if you find any mistakes, just write to us and we will correct it.
Concept Wall – Graffiti Pirates – BORN CREW & KWG CREW
The BORN CREW created togehter with the KWG CREW and additional writer friends a super cool pirate scenario in the open air tunnel. Actually there are two concept walls, because you have both sides of the tunnel section which gives the whole thing a special all around view. The graffiti and the chosen colors were uniformly coordinated for all pieces, but the links between the individual works were the characters and the detailed background. The many artists have created a pirate world, if the tunnel was filled with water you could sail through in a boat while you hear the cannons firing from the ships and the rattling of sabres. And while you are cruising by, watch out for the giant octopus. It’s a fantastic collaboration concept group piece!

The participating artist were GHETTO, KISR, WISE, SICK, EASY, RITUS, LAZAR, COKE, NEIN, BASR, GHETTO, KISR, WNYL, BAMBUS, JET, VRACK and RAKE. A collaboration by BORN CREW & KWG CREW aka KIDS WITH GUNS, plus befriended writers.
Concept Wall – Asterix & Obelix – FND CREW – Findus Non Dripus Francoforte
Here we have another great concept wall with the caption “Findus Non Dripus Francoforte”, painted by several artists from the FND CREW in an Asterix and Obelix style. In between a few beaten up Romans are flying around. Very cool collaboration and a tribute to the comic and story inventors RENÉ GOSCINNY and ALBERT UDERZO! The participating artists were from left to right UHLI, HASAN, ABOK, FEEZY, SUXEZ, DATA, RISIKO, SHOW, ENTE, TANK and VIRS.
