GERMANY: Streetart Frankfurt – Ostend – Waldschmidt 19 – NAXOS ATELIER

The Naxos Halle is a former factory complex of the company “Naxos Union”, one of the first manufacturers of grinding machines, and was built between 1906 and 1907. The listed buildings at 29 Wittelsbacher Allee stood empty for years after the company closed down and were in danger of falling into disrepair. In 1999, the city of Frankfurt took over the industrial monument and started to use the hall as an event venue. The Theater Willy Praml, founded in 1991, has had its permanent venue here since 2000. It is also home to the magnificent NAXOS ATELIER, which offers an open creative space that regularly hosts interesting exhibitions and also manages the Graffiti Hall in the backyard. We have therefore split the pages for Naxos into two, one for the NAXOS ATELIER, with the works inside and at the front. The second page is dedicated exclusively to the NAXOS HALL and the creative happenings there. We can also strongly recommend the graffiti mags MAINSTYLE, DOSENKUNST and KOLLEKTIVE OFFENSIVE who present a lot of super nice content espacially from this place.

Some more info about the  NAXOS ATELIER

The NAXOS ATELIER is a fantastic art space, run collaboratively by a group of creative people. It’s a colorful place where you can paint in the atelier room or with cans downstairs on the legal spray area. Interesting events and projects happen regularly here. We had an interview with STEFAN MOHR from the team.  (more text coming soon)

This page will change soon and is under construction. There are countless new photos.  >>> work in progress >>>
