ARGENTINA: Streetart Mar del Plata – Parque San Martín – Urban Art Festival – PINTURA GOURMET

From 27th till 29th January in 2023 the fantastic art happening PINTURA GOURMET was held in Mar del Plata city, an urban art event with the participation of outstanding artists from the national urban art scene. The event took place at four points in the city, which you can verify with the provided GPS coordinates. The movement was organized by NAHUEL, a great artist from the local scene. ARGENTINA: Streetart Buenos Aires – Ciudad Autónoma – Parque Ferroviario Palermo – Urban Spray Space

The „Parque Ferroviario“ or in English „Railway Park“ in the Buenos Aires district of Palermo is a two-kilometer long aerobic path with walking trails,  slopes, an exercise island, a skateboarding area, a sensory garden and several playgrounds for sports. As well you can find great urban art around that space! The numerous walls along the highways and the boundaries have meanwhile become a graffiti hot spot and a creative hall of fame.

ARGENTINA: Victoria Sights – Architecture, Monuments and Street Life

A walk through the streets of Victoria in the historic quarter is like walking through a museum. It is one of the best preserved urban-architectural ensembles and so far the only one in the province with a declaration in this category. With almost a million inhabitants, Rosario is the third largest city in Argentina after Buenos Aires and Córdoba and an important industrial center. The metropolis has earned its reputation as a cultural center above all in music. Along with Buenos Aires and Montevideo, the city is one of the cradles of tango, which developed in the late 19th century in the milieu of immigrants. The Rosario International Poetry Festival was founded in 1993 and Rosario is also the city with the highest density of theaters in the country. Of course there is also wonderful street art in the urban space!

ARGENTINA: Streetart Map Chascomús – Urban Art Archive and Graffiti Tracker

Chascomús is a city in eastern Argentina on Lake Chascomús in the interior of the province of Buenos Aires. The city dates back to the famous Fortín de San Juan Bautista fortifications from 1779. Photographer Analá Pertusi aka Perts Jam had visited Chascomús several times and documented extensively the fascinating urban art. Nearly 700 great photos came together at 150 spots, enough to make an individual map which is dedicated to Chascomús. Dive into the creative world and when you are around, go exploring yourself!

ARGENTINA: Streetart San Nicolás de los Arroyos – Urban Art at the Rio Paraná – Gran Buenos Aires Province

San Nicolás de los Arroyos is a city on the Rio Paraná in the northeast of the greater Buenos Aires province close to Rosario. The well known port and industrial town was founded on 14th April 1748 by Rafael de Aguiar and has meanwhile around 133,000 inhabitants. The cathedral dedicated to St. Nicholas of Bari and the surrounding Pampa Ondulada are famous places of pilgrimage and popular for hiking. Of course there is also beautiful urban art and graffiti in the streets, you can even find awesome large murals on skyscrapers.

ARGENTINA: Streetart Buenos Aires – Tribute to football legend Diego Armando Maradona

Diego Armando Maradona Franco was an Argentine football player and coach. He is one of the “legends of world football” and is considered one of the best football players in history. Already as a younger player he was called „El Pibe de Oro“ – „The golden Boy“. In his career Maradona took part in four World Cup tournaments in 1982, 1986, 1990 and 1994. Altogether the footballist scored 34 goals in 91 international matches. Maradona died on November 25th 2020 in Dique Luján in Argentina. This page is dedicated to the great athlete and shows numerous artworks that have been created as tributes and homages to honorable Maradona across the city of Buenos Aires.

ARGENTINA: Streetart Buenos Aires – Tribute to Gustavo Cerati at Avenida Francisco Beiró by Marco Heis

The highway construction in low level, “El Paso Bajo”, carried out on Francisco Beiró Avenue and the Urquiza railroad tracks in Buenos Aires, has four traffic lanes, two by hand, and a pedestrian crossing. This traffic complex was baptized Gustavo Cerati and therefore painted by artist MARCO HEIS with wonderful images of the famous singer. After a vote in which 177,594 residents participated, 68,438 chose to honor Gustavo Cerati, the late leader of Soda Stereo, while that 60,247 favored Carlitos Balá, and 48,909 did so for Julio Cortázar.

ARGENTINA: Streetart Buenos Aires – Paso Nazca Homage to Gilda, Guinzburg, Calabró and Mores

A huge fantastic mural in homage to Gilda, Guinzburg, Calabró and Mores at the Paso Bajo Level of Avenida Nazca displays images on its walls to remember these four illustrious neighbors of Commune 11. The enormous artwork was created in 2018. Gilda, Jorge Guinzburg, Juan Carlos Calabró and Mariano Mores lived in Commune 11. They were popular icons that stood out in different disciplines and the city of Buenos Aires wanted to pay tribute to them with this mural painted on the walls of one of the most important works from the neighborhood: the Paso Bajo Nivel on Nazca Avenue and the San Martín railroad tracks.
