The CD KASERNE is one of the largest youth and event centers in northern Germany and a place of creative happeninigs, of course with graffiti on the facades. The gGmbH behind this space is a municipal and non-profit organization of the city of Celle. With 20 full-time employees and up to 50 freelancers, they are responsible for the administration and operation of the numerous venues. Check out the great artworks at this creative oasis!

The Navigli district, with its two famous canals Naviglio Grande and Naviglio Pavese, is located in the center of Milan and is known for its many creative art galleries, hip second-hand stores and trendy clubs. The Mercato di Viale Papiniano flea market and the monthly Mercatone dell’Antiquariato antiques mart are also particularly popular. “Navigli” is the name of all the numerous typical canals in and around Milan, so it basically is the canal district. Along those idyllic waterways and around the quaint alleys, there are of course plenty of colorful urban works of art.

The former Wargöns AB paper mill is located on the Göta Älv river in the southwest of Sweden near the municipality of Vargön. After its closure in 2008, a large part of the building complex was demolished, but the entrance portal with the wolf in the firm emblem still shows witness to the former company. Therefore, the place is also called “Wolf Island”. Today, the site is a mysterious and almost magical lost place, covered from top to bottom with countless pieces of graffiti and streetart. For many years, there existed a popular, but unofficial graffiti hotspot in the Wedding district of Berlin. Along the Napolenkai and on the Allée du Stade was the former gravel and rubble dumping ground, which was surrounded by a wall of concrete blocks. Perfect surface for spray can art. In February 2023, the soil sealing and walls were removed and unfortunately this graffiti spot no longer exists anymore. But in our archive you can still admire numerous photos!

In many underground tunnels and roadways of historic mines, signs of the old surveyors, cryptic gedinge and heading signs, but also pit field boundary and breakthrough signs on the walls can often be discovered in underground mining. Discomformities with the rules, experiments with novelty and, above all, simply giving a fuck about the name. “It’s about how good you paint and how often you paint that counts”. The creative artist CODE26 from Gothenburg started with graffiti art at the end of the 90s, but his artistic range has since developed extensively and he paints everything from letters and figures to abstract creations. And sometimes he also paints JÖRG. Or whatever occurs to him at the moment and whatever he feels like doing.

On March 8th is the annual International Women’s Day and this year the third edition of the great FLINTA* GRAFFITI JAM will take place again at the Berlin Mauerpark. The acronym FLINTA* stands for women, lesbians, inter, non-binary, trans and agender people. The asterisk at the end is intended to include further variations in gender diversity. According to the meaning, the event is about variety, diversity, respect and equality. In 2022 and 2023 two editions of this fantastic event already happenend with numerous awesome artworks. Mostar is the largest city in Herzegovina, the southern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the sixth largest city in the country with 113,000 inhabitants. Since 2012 great artworks get created throughout the city during the fantastic STREET ARTS FESTIVAL MOSTAR, or SAFMO for short, which is organized annually by the REZON ASSOCIATION. Countless fantastic works have been created since then, from large colorful murals to small filigree works.

The FREILUFT KUNST KLUB BERLIN, or FKKB for short, is a unique art collective with its clubhouse in the Hotel Berlin at Lützowplatz 17 near the Tiergarten. Through the common thread, which is primarily urban art, it offers its members a supportive platform from which they can develop and exhibit new works. There is a lot of construction going on in Gothenburg’s Olivedal district and large building complexes and bypasses are being built, especially in areas close to the Göta älv river. Along a construction area on Emigrantvägen road a long barrier wall to the building site has been set up and this space is declared an open graffiti wall. You can officially paint and spray there legally. New works are constantly being created here and graffiti jams are regularly organized. Check out the great pieces!
