ArtMadeThis is an urban art project that showcases female artists in Sweden’s cities. Especially in Gothenburg’s large car park at Drottninggatan 65 you will find countless works of art over 5 parking levels curated for the project. From paintings to textile art to installations, 47 female artists have left fantastic works since 2017 and more are going to come. Check out the great creations!

PORTUGAL: Streetart Lagos – Graffiti and Urban Art on the western Algarve coast

With 31,000 inhabitants, Lagos is the largest city in the west of the Algarve in southern Portugal. It is known for its beautiful and colorful old town with the historic city wall, its cliffs and its famous Atlantic beaches such as Ponta da Piedade. Also worth seeing are the Forte da Ponta da Bandeira, the Lagos Castle, the idyllic marina and the Plaza Infante Dom Henrique with the church of Santa Maria de Lagos. GERMANY: Graffiti Berlin – Schöneberg – Werdauer Iron Wall – Artist Gallery

In the Schöneberg district of Berlin near the Werdauer Weg, there is an old iron wall that is regularly sprayed with super nice graffiti artworks. Colourful masterpieces are getting created time by time during spray sessions. The metal, which has been aging for years, results in completely different and new effects compared to the usual concrete walls. Check out the numerous fantastic pieces!

SWEDEN: Streetart Gothenburg – 250 meters mural of 10.000 years of history – INSTITUT FOR URBAN KUNST

After a short summer break, we’re back and have lots of new and interesting material for you! Included is a brand new map for the Swedish city of Gothenburg with nearly 10.000 photos and cool interviews. So the first posting is from Sweden! This fantastic and super long history wall stands in the middle of Gothenburg and was created by the INSTITUT FOR URBAN KUNST. From the ice age till modern times.

ECUADOR: Streetart Cuenca – Sucre – Fray Vicente Solano – JAKE MATE JAM – ZOOSTYLE CREW

In the Cuenca district of Sucre you can find a great spray wall at the street Fray Vicente Solano which is covered all over with beautiful urban artworks. New colorful creations emerging at regular intervals, but a special event was the first edition of the graffiti jam JAKE MATE organized by the ZOOSTYLE CREW with many participating local and international artists.

GERMANY: Streetart Frankfurt – Main Yard Construction Fence – COR, OBSKUR87, FUEGO FATAL, SPOT, MOIN, SHOW ONE & TOE ONE

The area at the Städelshof has some history of creative use and many awesome exhibitions, film programs, performances, lecture series, music events or parties happened at this place of around 1300 m². From 2007 till 2014 at the former headquarters of the KUNSTVEREIN FAMILIE MONTEZ and now MAIN YARD started to revitalize the space with music and art events. At the moment the area got demolished and is in reconstruction. During that time the artist COR painted a great peace mural as sign of solidarity with Ukraine and further spray actions by local artists OBSKUR87, FUEGO FATAL, SPOT, MOIN, SHOW ONE and TOE ONE followed.

BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA: Streetart Prijedor – City of Murals & Paola de Manincor Award

Prijedor or in Cyrillic „Приједор“ has about 80,000 inhabitants and belongs to the entity Republika Srpska in the northwestern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Places of interest are the Kozara mountain museum, the city library „Cyril and Methodius“, the city theater and the cultural-artistic Mladen Stojanovi? Association. Prijedor also has a larger number of fantastic murals in its streets and is aiming to get the name „Town of Murals“ which they flourish with the annual Paola de Manincor Award.

LAOS: Streetart Don Det – Graffiti and Urban Art Collection on the 4000 Islands

Don Det is a little island in the Mekong River and part of the Si Phan Don archipelago or also called „4000 Islands“. Basically those are not real islands on the open sea, but large sandbanks in the river, which becomes very wide on the way to the Khon Phapheng Waterfalls further south. In addition to the interview with local artist BASILE MORIN and the interesting collection of Toilet Graffiti, there are a lot of other beautiful works of art on the island. Many visitors from all over the world leave great creations on the huts and bungalows with the permission of the locals.

GREECE: Streetart Athens – Exarchia District – Graffiti and Urban Art Collection

Exarchia is a district of the Greek capital Athens and famous for it’s avant-garde and alternative scene. This page here is specifically about graffiti and great urban art in this neighbourhood, whose alleys are filled from top to bottom with magnificent works. The murals are often marked by political messages, interspersed with anarchist bookshops or stores for rare records and vintage stuff. The bars and clubs regularly host live concerts of all kinds of music and there is a fun and lively nightlife.

COLOMBIA: Streetart Bogota – Graffiti and Urban Art in the Capital

Bogotá is the capital of Colombia and has about 7.2 million inhabitants. Worth seeing are historical buildings in the center around the district Candeleria, the neoclassical Columbus Theater “Teatro Colón” or the gold museum “Museo del Oro”. There are also numerous sculptures made by local artist FERNANDO BOTERO throughout the city and the streets offer a true open air museum of urban art.
