MALTA: Streetart Malta – Conservative in ochre, but studded with small Diamonds

Malta was initially a disappointment when it comes to street art. Everywhere only the color ochre and ochre and again ochre on these strange conservative stones. But in between, and often half-hidden, there are still small oases of urban art. Some of these creative spaces have been generated by the fantastic crew of ADD MORE COLORS during the few utterly legendary MALTA STREETART FESTIVALS, while another important spot is certainly the colorful and famouse MSIDA SKATE PARK, of which the MSA MALTA SKATEBOARD ASSOCIATION is taking care of. But we found even more super awesome and also less awesome stuff. Especially the great local artists COOKER, JUSTINK’S AND MURALS or TWITCH should be mentioned here. They are talented productive and heartful busy all over the island by bringing diversity on this rock. Or let´s say multiple rocks. There are some more islands. USA: New York – Manhattan Street Life

Our visit was just awesome! Thanks a lot to crazy and surprisefull taxi drivers, to fantastic cheese cake bakers, to great stand up comedians and definitely for sure thanks a lot for cinema pass out places when they are needed! Sorry for the snorring! ? But the Lincoln movie is quite a long one and even without  the New York nightlife we would have fallen asleep in those cozy cinema seats. PORTUGAL: Streetart Porto – International Flair and Portuguese Graffiti

Of course, a city with so much quality also needs a street art scene of the extra class. That’s what Porto can do. GERMANY: Calligraffiti and Urban Hieroglyphs – Lupus Alpha

The Frankfurt-based artist Lupus Alpha combines graffiti writing and caligraphy in his creative and mystical works of art. This combination is a unique art style and is called Calligraffiti. When tagging, one usually uses a marker, when graffiti the spray can and when caligraphy often the brush. With Calligraffiti, you use virtually everything together or build your personal tools like Lupus. The self-taught artist has acquired the techniques with plenty of enthusiasm himself and now has a wide arsenal of painting instruments and drawing equipment. This ranges from brooms and rakes to hairdryers. Great works of art are created through a space-filling collection and abstract elaboration of lettering.

NORWAY: Bjørvika – Barcode, Town Hall, Fortress and the Opera

The centre of Oslo and its new distric Bjørvika is very impressive and a place you shoud definitely visit. Not only villas dominate here, although they appear everywhere in the cityscape, but extremely imposing and futuristic buildings. Impressive buildings of all epochs have gathered and give the cityscape a formative appearance. A mixture of fictional modernity and villas as well as buildings of long past years. Definitely worth seeing and highly interesting! The appearance also shows the immense liveliness and creativity of the city. Here, something is always planned, implemented and presented. Great architecture, art and culture. World class!

ITALY: Nicola Fedriga aka NICK NEIM – Big Eyes Characters and ART OF SOOL

The great murals, canvas paintings and drawings of the Italian artist NICK NEIM can be recognized by female characters with unmistakable large eyes. His murals are scattered around the globe in urban areas, but can also be found on many unique products from well-known brands or even be seen in films. Together with Marco Cominini aka MYSTIC MARK and Claudio Cretti aka ILCLOD he forms the fantastic crew ART OF SOOL.

NORWAY: Streetart Grønland – Multi cultural diversity, delicious food and endless art

This district is also simply wonderful and offers its own great multicultural diversity! Together with the district of Tøyen, Grønland is a central area for immigrants and migrants in Oslo. The percentage of migration in Grønland is around 40%. That means there’s something going on here! Here the mixture of cultural diversity, choice and possibilities is right. Here, too, real life takes place on the street. From the main station to the north you can stroll along the river AKERSELVA. In summer, the green areas are full. Many people do sports, drink beer, chill out, picnic, barbecue, listen to music and relax around the river. Of course, some finished figures also run around, because they continuously pop it too pure. It’s noticeable. The atmosphere is still very peaceful. Within five minutes, I had four different leaders who offered their services to me.

NETHERLANDS: Zandvoort – Street Art in a Different Way

If you like it quiet and tranquil, you are in the right place in Zandvoort. About 30 minutes by train from the vibrant centre of Amsterdam, the coastal town invites you to relax and unwind. If city life is too stressful and hectic, you can stop here. Especially in the summer is busy here. This is on the one hand on the long sandy beach, which is located along the town with only approx. 17,000 inhabitants. On the other hand, almost half of all inhabitants live from tourism.

ISRAEL: Painter and Muralist Tamir Shefer – Iconic Mayan Comic Masks

At the beginning of the year, the artist Tamir Shefer from Tel Aviv visited Frankfurt for the fantastic exhibition „Echos” at the Kunstverein Familie Montez. Works by him and nine other artists were shown, five of them from Israel, five from Germany. Tamir paints on canvases but also has a special preference for streetart and large-scale wall design in urban spaces. In the gallery rooms of the exhibition, he even painted some works directly and freshly on the interior façade. Of course we interviewed the creative artist!

NORWAY: Streetart Oslo -Tøyen Quarter

The district of Tøyen is multi-culturally populated, less prosperous and characterised by a lively neighbourhood. Tøyen offers beautiful green areas such as the BOTA-NISH GARDEN and the Tøyen Park. Life prefers to take place on the streets. There are various ethnic shops, great and trendy bars, cafes and nice restaurants. It is bordered to the south by Grønland. Tøyen has many peculiarities. The district is one of the most fascinating and dynamic urban areas of Oslo. This is where the bear really steps! Tøyen should be at the top of every visitor list in Oslo. Tøyen, Tøyen, we’re going to Tøyen!
