ITALY: Borgo Campidoglio – The district of Turin that has become an open air museum

The Turin district Borgo Vecchio Campidoglio is the seat of the MAU – Museum of Urban Art which is, the first open-air contemporary art museum in an urban center of Italy. An incredible urban museum which houses over 170 works created by numerous artists who have left their creations and imprints on the walls. Here, strolling through the cobbled streets you will come across whales giants, mountain landscapes, portraits, trompe-l’oeil, flower growers, and even benches inspired by great artists.

ROMANIA: Streetart Bucharest – Fantastic Flora & Fauna by SWEET DAMAGE CREW

During the OUTLINE STREETART FESTIVAL in 2020 great artworks were created by members of the fabulous SWEET DAMAGE CREW in the Bucharest suburb Vitan at Șoseaua Bârzești. The talented crew consists of the artists BIEX, BOEME, CAGE, LOST.OPTICS, PANDELE, RECIS and SHATR. Except for BOEME and SHATR, all team members were involved and delivered beautiful creative works from the flora and fauna theme. In addition, the befriended artist GABRIELA FLOREA was also invited to the session and painted a beautiful ladybug.

IRELAND: Streetart Dublin – The Icon Factory Mural Project in Bedford Lane

The artist collective around the Icon Factory has transformed the alleys and streets in the Tempel Bar district into attractive art venues with color and creativity. The Icon Walk runs through the district with innovative and interesting works and in Bedford Lane, just around the corner from the Icon Factory, there is a special project wall on which the artist and project member Kevin Bohan creates grandiose murals at regular intervals with changing artists. GERMANY: Streetart Berlin – Brave Together – ANNE BENGARD, CARO PEPE, FABIFA & LA MIA

From 5th of May till 4th of June 2021 you can admire a new great collaboration artwork made by four local creatives in the Berlin district Friedrichshain close to the Postbahnhof. The artists Anne ‘Blondie’ Bengard and Caro Pepe painted two beautiful characters and the artists Fabifa and LaMia made as well two characters with their special tape techniques. The project is part of the campaign “Brave Together” curated by Book a Street Artist and Basa Studio.

JAPAN: Shinichi Yoshitomi´s nostalgic Movie-Adventure-Shop – Mangas, Animies and Superheroes

Comic fans and manga connoisseurs will surely understand the next one. In Okoyama we were amazed with the greatest anime in its original form, scripts in Japanese, and a wealth of unique footage and impassioned smorgasbord. By chance we found the store „Movie Adventure Shop“ by SHINICHI YOSHITOMI in a side street. Especially the original soundtrack of Battleship Yamato immediately got us hooked and we discovered a small gold mine with collectors‘ treasures from 40 years of film and comic history.

MALTA: Graff Plaza at the Msida Spray Area – Hidden Gems and Secret Streetart

On the island of Malta in the neighbourhood Msida we found an interesting graffiti area. If you walk through a small tunnel on the north side of the Msida Skate Park, you don’t get out directly on one of the other sides of the road. There is again an open space, from where the paths branch out again and lead into further tunnels. The entire walls of this small plaza are of course all painted and frequently there apear new fantastic ones. Check out the photos of the great artworks we captured at this hidden little art space.

ITALY: Torino Cittá del Cinema – Fantastic Art Installations – I volti del cinema

In 2020 on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the opening of the National Cinema Museum at the Mole Antonelliana and the birth of the Turin Piedmont Film Commission, the Piedmontese capital was the ‘City of Cinema’. At 20 installations throughout Turin you could admire the remarkable and famous movies created between 1914 and 2020 with their filmsets in the local streets. CHILE: Angol Urbex Adventure – The mysterious old Ilabaca Hospital

The photographer Salvador Seda has been working on the Angol Streetart Map in Chile since quite a while and fills it with interesting stories and great photographs. His focus is often on the history of the urban art and the spot. In that case obviously it makes sense to explore abandoned places and Salvador is a big fan of Urbex. During an adventurous tour of discovery, the streetart hunter visited the Ilabaca Hospital, which had been out of order for decades. The dilapidated buildings and half-collapsed rooms have something eerie but at the same time also something attractive, which arouses curiosity. In such places you can usually find interesting graffiti art as well.

GERMANY: Streetart Berlin – Stadtpiraten Exhibition in Lichtenberg

The STADTPIRATEN curated an exhibition in the gallery of the social fund of the Berlin construction industry which is located in the Lück Street 72 in the district Lichtenberg. The event took place from 19th March till 28th March in 2021. Here are the several fantastic creations sorted by artists. “Stadtpiraten” would mean in English “City Pirates”. During this great event visitors could admire the artworks from Anne Baerlin, Autark, Bibo, Caz.l, Coky One, Ducks Between Chucks, Gomez, Hoya, JMS, Kiezmiez, Lacuna, Niko, Opiemme, Textile Street Art, Wake Yakuza and Zonenkinder.
