The awesome MEETING OF STYLES is the world’s largest graffiti event network, with more than 400 jams held to date, resulting in over 30.000 fantastic works of art. Launched in 1997 as WALLSTREET MEETING, it became the most important meeting place for the local scene, bringing together all graffiti artists from the Rhine-Main region, and soon from all over Germany and the whole world to the „Brückenkopf“ at Mainz-Kastel in Wiesbaden. It quickly became international with countless offshoots in various countries. The graffiti writer MANUEL GERULLIS aka YOURS grew up in the 80s with his crews DBL or CNB. In 1997 he launchend the WALL STREET MEETING in Wiesbaden, today known as the MEETING OF STYLES, which became a global event network with more than 400 held jams world wide, but is also passionately involved in many other projects to open creative spaces like the KONTEXT, the SCHLACHTHOF, the KULTURCAMPUS or the EUROPEAN HIP HOP MUSEUM. His mission is to bring more color, creativity, respect, and peace via urban art into the world. We spoke with YOURS in an interview about his own development and the story of MEETING OF STYLES.
