CHILE: Streetart Angol – Esmeralda 1450 – ZEN Graffiti Workshop – Villa Los Ríos Jam

As ZEN has already done many times in the past in the city of Angol, this time this great local creative once again held a graffiti workshop for artists who are just starting out in streetart and graffiti or have been doing it for a short time. Most of them are still in high school and they are teenagers. The workshop attendees seemed very enthusiastic, and ZEN was always giving tips and helping these young promises, until they finished their work. In this workshop jam named „Villa Los Ríos“, also KUSH accompanied ZEN and they did a cool collaboration wall.

CHILE: Streetart Santiago – Barrio Bellavista – Bombero Nuñez 274 – Fantastic Galería BOMB

The Galería BOMB was a place that sought to publicize streetart and its artists who remain outside traditional spaces but are present throughout the city of Santiago de Chile. Unfortunately it only existed from 2009 till 2010, but great works have been created and shown during that short period. The idea of the gallery was to have a space similar to a piece of street rather than a traditional gallery. That’s why a lot of creations were not only done on the façades around, but also inside.

CHILE: Fantastic Artist GUZTOK – Creative Graffiti, Abstract Characters and Tattooism

The great artist GUZTOK was born and raised near Villa Francia in Estación Central, which is part of the region around Santiago de Chile. Since he was a child, GUZTOK was drawn to the political murals and graffiti near his house. He started spraying himself, first letters, later on also with figurative styles and characters. Today he lives in the German capital Berlin and creates fantastic urban artworks and cool tattoos. Check out the interview!

CHILE: Streetart Angol – Nahuelbuta Graff Jam – Angol’s First Urban Art Festival

ZEN, the father of the character Smile, created the first graffiti festival ever held in Angol! He looked for sponsors, spoke with the Municipality, and with the support of musician OUCLASS and the culture center FRONTERA SUR, he organized and convened the NAHUELBUTA GRAFF FESTIVAL between February 23rd and 24th in 2024. Numerous artists from Angol and the region participated and painted several awesome walls around a soccer field close to the Rehue River. CHILE: Streetart Santiago – Barrio Lastarria – GAM Complex – Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral

The UNCTAD III complex, including the 23 story tower, was built to host the UN conference on trade and development, held in April 1972 in Santiago, Chile. Once the conference was over, the architectural complex was used, as it was originally conceived, as a cultural center open to the people and called „Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral“ or in short GAM. CHILE: Streetart Angol – Muralismo and Graffiti in Angol – Urban Map Tutorial

Photographer, urban historian and documenter SALVADOR SEDA has been filling the street art map for the city of Angol in Chile for a long time. Countless great artworks with lots of background information and interviews with artists are already in the Vagabundler archive. Together with the Department of Cultural Extension (Centro Cultural) of the illustrious municipality of Angol he has now created an explanatory tutorial video on how to use the maps and the website.

CHILE: Urban Art Angol – DYRE’s Graffiti Workshop at John Kennedy – Taller de Graffiti

This large mural wall with lots of graffiti is the result of a workshop for youth and children that DYRE devised a year ago in the Chilenean city of Angol. The great local artist managed and obtained sponsorship and materials for the students of the workshop, in addition to also directing the theoretical and practical classes for five days. CHILE: Beautiful Araucanían Flora and Fauna – The Nahuelbuta National Park

Nahuelbuta is a word from Mapudungun that means Great Puma. Mapudungun is the language of the Mapuches, the inhabitants who lived in this region before the arrival of the Spanish in mid-16th century. The park that is only 37 km from the city of Angol, was created in 1939, and comprises a section of the Nahuelbuta Range, which in turn is part of Chile’s Coastal Mountain Range.

Graffiti artist SNIP sprays great artworks on Chilean streets, his pieces can be found around Ovalle, Antofagaste, La Serena or Tocopilla and many other places. He is currently based in Angol and is active there in the urban scene. CHILE: Streetart Angol – Ruta 180 – Acceso a Shell – Old Gas Station Urbex

Another Urbex adventure from Chile. You can find the access to this abandoned Shell gas station, where the city of Angol ends as seen in today’s map at Ruta 180. It’s kind of a nice trip to #angolstreetart – most likely, in the future this will be part of the city of Angol. For now, it is just an abandoned gas station, but with lots of interesting graffiti with strong Angoline influence. Among the participants, you can distinguish the artists ZEN, DYRE and PABLO ANTAY from the TONS CREW.
