CHILE: Streetart Angol – Esmeralda 1450 – ZEN Graffiti Workshop – Villa Los Ríos Jam

As ZEN has already done many times in the past in the city of Angol, this time this great local creative once again held a graffiti workshop for artists who are just starting out in streetart and graffiti or have been doing it for a short time. Most of them are still in high school and they are teenagers. The workshop attendees seemed very enthusiastic, and ZEN was always giving tips and helping these young promises, until they finished their work. In this workshop jam named „Villa Los Ríos“, also KUSH accompanied ZEN and they did a cool collaboration wall.

CHILE: Streetart Angol – Nahuelbuta Graff Jam – Angol’s First Urban Art Festival

ZEN, the father of the character Smile, created the first graffiti festival ever held in Angol! He looked for sponsors, spoke with the Municipality, and with the support of musician OUCLASS and the culture center FRONTERA SUR, he organized and convened the NAHUELBUTA GRAFF FESTIVAL between February 23rd and 24th in 2024. Numerous artists from Angol and the region participated and painted several awesome walls around a soccer field close to the Rehue River. CHILE: Urban Art Angol – DYRE’s Graffiti Workshop at John Kennedy – Taller de Graffiti

This large mural wall with lots of graffiti is the result of a workshop for youth and children that DYRE devised a year ago in the Chilenean city of Angol. The great local artist managed and obtained sponsorship and materials for the students of the workshop, in addition to also directing the theoretical and practical classes for five days. CHILE: Writer SNIP – Pampa Graffiti and Chilean Hip Hop Style – “Remember where you come from”

Graffiti artist SNIP sprays great artworks on Chilean streets, his pieces can be found around Ovalle, Antofagaste, La Serena or Tocopilla and many other places. He is currently based in Angol and is active there in the urban scene. In an interview with photographer Salvador Seda the sprayer tells us about his creative world, his artistic development and the fabulous HMS aka HOMIES crew.

CHILE: Streetart Angol – Ruta 180 – Acceso a Shell – Old Gas Station Urbex

Another Urbex adventure from Chile. You can find the access to this abandoned Shell gas station, where the city of Angol ends as seen in today’s map at Ruta 180. It’s kind of a nice trip to #angolstreetart – most likely, in the future this will be part of the city of Angol. For now, it is just an abandoned gas station, but with lots of interesting graffiti with strong Angoline influence. Among the participants, you can distinguish the artists ZEN, DYRE and PABLO ANTAY from the TONS CREW.

CHILE: Streetart Angol – Abandoned Supermarket Urbex at José Luis Osorio

At the location of José Luis Osorio Street 10 in Angol is an abandoned and half-ruined building that used to be a supermarket many years ago. The former shopping place is totally run down and partly overgrown by nature, but it is as well a little streetart paradise and peppered with small to large interesting works of art. Photographer Salvador Seda has visited this area several times and created various galleries and interesting story writings with information to the artists of the tags, bombings and graffiti at this spot. Once he even met sprayer SNIP in action. Also included are works by DYRE, ROYER, AMAGO, PABLO ANTAY, RIE, ZEN, the ESKRITORES CREW and the TONS CREW.

CHILE: Angol Urbex Adventure – The mysterious old Ilabaca Hospital

The photographer Salvador Seda has been working on the Angol Streetart Map in Chile since quite a while and fills it with interesting stories and great photographs. His focus is often on the history of the urban art and the spot. In that case obviously it makes sense to explore abandoned places and Salvador is a big fan of Urbex. During an adventurous tour of discovery, the streetart hunter visited the Ilabaca Hospital, which had been out of order for decades. The dilapidated buildings and half-collapsed rooms have something eerie but at the same time also something attractive, which arouses curiosity. In such places you can usually find interesting graffiti art as well.
