From September 13th to September 15th 2024, the great BÜLOW STREET FESTIVAL took place along Bülowstrasse and around the URBAN NATION headquarters and museum. The entire façade was redesigned with fresh colors by the New York artist LADY PINK, and guests could also admire a colorful and extensive exhibition with „floating murals“ on temporarily installed walls.
An extensive and diverse program was offered over three days with creative participation activities, music on stage and culinary delicacies at food stalls. Workshops were organized, especially with children, but also with interested visitors. During several urban art walks and streetart tours, the works in the district were explained in more detail, their backgrounds and what this form of art is actually about. URBAN NATION has been playing in the city for many years and continues to bring new artists from all over the world to Berlin, at the same time they support the local scene and bring those artists together. The creative festival was organized by YES AND PRO and curated by MICHELLE HOUSTON. Support was provided by STIFTUNG BERLINER LEBEN and GEWOBAG.
Bülowstrasse, so the „Bülow Street“, is a hot spot for new curated works of urban art; you could really describe the stretch of road and the side alleys as an open air gallery. The main spot during the event was certainly the URBAN NATION building and the floating murals in front of it on Zietenstrasse, but new works were also created at other locations in the surrounding area as part of the festival, including Bülowstrasse 12, Bülowstrasse 13, Bülowstrasse 94, Bülowstraße 95, Bülowstraße 96, Bülowstraße 97, Frobenstraße 4 and Schwerinstraße 7.
