SOUTH KOREA: Busan – Gallery Square – Creative Space & Art Education – BYEONG YONG JEONG

The DESIGN SQUARE art academy is located in the Beon-gil neighborhood in the Seo-gu district of Busan and classes are held in the building on the fourth floor, but there is also a very interesting creative space in the basement, the GALLERY SQUARE, where students can paint freely and exhibitions are held regularly. We talked to the artist and art teacher BYEONG YONG JEONG about the concept of this great place and took a look at the numerous fantastic artworks, which were made by students, workshop participants or just passing by creatives.

BRITAIN: Streetart Glasgow – Yardworks Murals & Artpistol Projects – Graffiti & Urban Art Collection

The Scottish port city of Glasgow has around 635,000 inhabitants and is located in the western Lowlands on the River Clyde. Worth seeing are the old town in Victorian architectural style, the Scottish Opera, the Scottish Ballet or the National Theatre of Scotland, also a visit to the numerous pubs is recommended, where you can often find live music. Of course, there is also plenty of color on the walls around the streets. The YARDWORKS collective in particular is constantly curating new mural projects and the ARTPISTOL gallery organizes open air exhibitions of urban art.

GERMANY: Streetart Berlin – Pankow – Dolomiten Graffiti Garages – Urban Art Hot Spot

The graffiti hot spot at the garage complex in Dolomiten Street has been used for urban art for several decades, still the location is not a real legal wall, but an art space tolerated by the local neighbors. Behind the row of residential buildings from around number 11 to 39 is a line of garages, their back wall serve as a spray facade around 200 meters long and 2 meters high, with a main part of around 50 meters. The wall is located along the railroad tracks and is also called Bornholmer Garagen, in reference to the nearby Bornholmer Straße S-Bahn station. Check out the huge archive with great artworks!

SOUTH KOREA: Seoul – Sinchon Graffiti Tunnel – The Rabbit Hole – Legal Walls & Urban Art Hot Spot

The Sinchon Graffiti Tunnel is located in the Seodaemun-gu district of Seoul and is a 65-meter-long and 4.5-meter-high pedestrian tunnel between Ewha Womans University and Yonsei University. This legal spray site is also known as the “Sinchon Rabbit Hole”, which describes the passageway quite well. The graffiti hot spot is adorned with graffiti from top to bottom and new ones are constantly being added on top of the old ones. In 2016 the tunnel also became really famous when it was used as a filming location for a scene in the K-drama “Goblin – The Lonely and Great God”.

FRANCE: Streetart Nice – United Nations Ocean Conference – Electricity Series – ARTMOR1

In June 2025, Nice hosted the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC), a planetary event fundamental for the future and preservation of the seas and marine biodiversity. The City of Nice commissioned stencil artist ROMAIN RENAUD, alias ARTMOR1, to create colorful stencils on the theme of the oceans. On ten electricity meter covers, the artist highlights marine animals to remind us of the urgency of protecting the seas and oceans.

SERBIA: Streetart Belgrade – Stari Grad – Takovska Underground – METOD’s Urban Art Gallery

In Belgrade under the block of houses and parking lots between Bulevar Despota Stefana and Takovska streets is an underground area with various stores, hairdressers, restaurants, bars and a shooting range. The several corridors are decorated with great works of art, some of which date back to 2013 and are still there. Most of the works were created by the artist METOD and you can clearly see his preference for cult films and comics, whose heroes he often uses as his mural motifs.

SPAIN: Streetart Cartagena – Mucho Mas Mayo Festival – Graffiti and Urban Art at the Mediterranean

Cartagena is a port city with around 215,000 inhabitants and is located in the region of Murcia in south-eastern Spain. Worth seeing are the historic old town, the second largest Roman theater on the Iberian Peninsula or the Casa de la Fortuna, which is decorated with colorful wall paintings and mosaics. But there are also numerous gems of urban art in the streets and especially during the great MUCHO MAS MAYO arts festival various events take place throughout the city, also every year new murals get created on the walls.

GERMANY: Streetart Reutlingen – URBANA.RT Jam – Annual Graffiti Festial & Streetart Meeting

In 2019, the first URBAN.RT graffiti and streetart meeting took place in Reutlingen and since then, with one interruption, more of these great events have been held annually at various locations in the city. Meanwhile around 50 artists from all over the region take part in these colorful happenings, which are as well accompanied by a musical program. The jams are organized by KOOL KEY and JULIUS ZENKER with the support of the JUGENDHAUS HOBUCH and the JUGENDCAFÉ and with assistance from the city of Reutlingen.

FRANCE: Streetart Carros – Rue 14ème – Graffiti Canal – Hall of Fame

In the north of the Nice suburb Carros, there is a concrete water canal in the industrial area along the street Rue 14ème that leads to the river Var. The walls on both sides are covered with great graffiti, a fantastic hall of fame. When the water is low, people are busy spraying here and you can find everything from high quality pieces and bombings to characters and colorful abstract works. Included are Droopy from Hanna Barbera, legendary manga figure Princess Mononoke, the Simpsons, Dragonball, Ducktales or the Terminator.
