While many passers-by get on and off trains and buses above ground at the central station in Gothenburg, unbeknownst to them there is a veritable museum of fantastic urban art. Many meters below in a currently disused hall complex deep underground there hides a treasure paradies for graffiti lovers at the Secret Underground Hall of Fame! We were lucky to get a visiting tour to this obscure gem. Check out the huge archive with numerous fantastic masterpieces.

Galle is a city with around 93,000 inhabitants on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka and is known for its large fort complex and the colonial old town, which were classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. The city is home to various street art works with traditional and religious motifs, as well as modern graphics, characters and even typical graffiti writing. On the Fort promontory, there are several art galleries worth seeing, which also exhibit works on the streets. The temples are also always worth a look, as you can often find beautiful murals there.

The Chosun University Museum of Art, or CUMA for short, is part of Chosun University in the city of Gwangju and exhibitions of fantastic works by current art students and graduates are regularly presented here, including works through all disciplines, from paintings and installations to sculptures, textiles, films and animations. It serves as a cultural space and window to the public, giving interested visitors an insight into the work at the art academy and the artistic identity of the students. From May 14th to 30th in 2025, the best works of the current semester were shown as part of the exhibition „Expanding the Gaze – The Reimagined Campus“.

On April 9th in 2022, the new Hall of Fame on Speicherstraße in Dortmund’s harbor district was inaugurated with a big opening jam featuring more than 80 artists. Since then, spray painting and creativity on the walls have been permitted there freely and legally. The urban art and design agency MORE THAN WORDS is the patron of the spray space and regularly colorful graffiti events take place such as the HAFENSPAZIERGANG. The 625-meter-long wall separates a fenced-off industrial wasteland at Dortmund harbor from an allotment garden in the east. In generaly the entire area around “Schmiedinghafen” is richly decorated with urban art.

On the western foothills in Cantaron in the Nice region, there is an adventurous lost place that not only offers deserted scenery, but also countless graffiti. The Centre Hospitalier Régional at Route de la Lauvette 254 is a former rehabilitation center on the southern slopes of the Alpes Maritimes. The extensive building complex comprises several houses connected by smaller buildings, but nobody has been treated here anymore for decades. So the artists took over the place and you can find numerous graffiti, characters or abstracts.

Opposite the church “L’Oratorio San Paolo Apostolo” in Turin there is a soccer field and basketball court surrounded by a long wall. Great graffiti gets often created there, and colorful events are held. In 2019 the artists KARIM and ZULI from the cultural association LARGE MOTIVE, in collaboration with the TORINO 27 scout group and L’Oratorio San Paolo Apostolo, organized the fantastic SAN PAOLO STREET JAM, where amazing works were created. In addition, workshops were offered, there was breakdancing, rap battles, a scout lab, a dance exhibition and live DJ music.

In 1884, this site just 8 km from Angol, was chosen to extract hard rock to build the railway lines that would pass through the city. At its peak, up to 90 workers and their families lived there. The operations and blasting of the rock continued until 1970, when rock extraction from the quarries ceased due to the closure of the railway to Angol. Today the abandoned buildings and warehouses are now covered with graffiti and streetart. But besides from the urban creations, it’s generally a fantastic lost place to explore.

The underground passage beneath the square at Plac Spo?eczny is a hot spot for urban art and a place where streetart takes on a life of its own. The place is quite busy and frequently new projects happen, graffiti and murals change dynamically here, with artists constantly adding new layers. If you are around Wroc?aw, don’t miss this spot. This is a place where you can get some of the pulse of the city’s graffiti scene, from fast bombings to awesome portraits or style writing masterpieces.

On the southern bank of the Han River in the Gangnam neighborhood of Seoul, there is a very interesting and colorful pedestrian underpass called Apgujeong Graffiti Tunnel, which leads from the major streets down to the promenade along the riverside path. This walkway passage is free for graffiti and offers a legal spray space. As a result fantastic artworks are regularly sprayed here and new creations can always be found. Smaller and larger jams take place from time to time and the spot gets used for photo sessions. This Hall of Fame is also known as the “Rabbit Cave”.

The HEIMFELD HALL on Bostelbeker Deich in the Hamburg district of Harburg is the largest and most important Hall of Fame in Northern Germany, with almost 1,150 meters of wall facade. The space is curated by the GroßStadtRaum association, which also regularly organizes urban art events. Countless fantastic graffiti is constantly being created here, but the real standouts are the Kings‘ large concept walls like „Avengers“, „Poseidon“ or „Neptun“. We’ve created an extensive archive, which continously gets filled with photos of these awesome works.
