Between 7th and 9th of October the colorful graffiti event „21 Jam Street“ was organized by the 21ER GALLERY and magnificent works of art were created over the three days on the large Concept Wall between Siemens Street and Erna Samuel Street and also on the facades of the Hambacher Wall, which is a new location at the corner of Erna Samuel Street and Siemens Street and managed by the 21 GALLERY. In recent years more and more color has been coming to the island of Cyprus in the Mediterranean. The enthusiastic artist ACHILLEAS MICHAELIDES, better known as PAPARAZZI, just kept on creating one fantastic artwork after the other. The old post station in the Berlin district Spandau – the URBAN ART HALL – was a creative art space for many years and the outside walls became an urban gallery with wonderful creations. Colorful undertakings happend here, great events took place or frequently spray sessions and you could find masterpieces from local and international artists. Graffiti culture dating back to 1984! NÆSTVED KUNSTBY is the result of a unique and self-organized graffiti tradition, which for more than 30 years has granted in the Danish city of Næstved a special status within the international scene. ? Hip hop and graffiti culture came to Europe and to Næstved more than 30 years ago. Since that time the city has continuously had several unofficial street galleries. For this reason Næstved has always had a regular flow of visiting graffiti artists from all over the world.

The Blob Graff was a graffiti store and a place where regularly workshops were held. You can see the fantastic results and also the remains of it in the backyard. GERMANY: Urban Art Bochum – Universitätsstraße Wiemelhausen – Kings Wall

Today we show you some masterpieces from Bochum from the „Kings Wall“ at the Universitätsstraße. In autumn 2021 the retaining wall on Universitätsstraße got a new look and 28 graffiti artists were involved in the redesign. About 20 years ago the wall was primarly decorated with large-scale graffiti. Over time, the colors faded and the effect of beautifying the urban space threatened to tip into the opposite due to neglect. To counteract this, the approximately 1,000 square meter area was redesigned with a fantastic colaboration mural project last year. Check out the photos from the magnificent results.

CYPRUS: Nicosia – Ethnological Museum – House of Hadjigeorgakis Kornesiso

The House of Hadjigeorgakis Kornesisois is located at Patriarchou Grigoriou 20 near the Archbishopric in the neighbourhood of Saint Antonios. It was the area where the rich Greek used to live and the mansion is the most important example of urban architecture of the last century of Ottoman rule that survived in old Nicosia. It is quite interesting and worth a visit, the entrance is free.

GERMANY: Graffiti & Streetart Berlin – October Jam at North Side Gallery – URBAN ART FOR A BETTER WORLD

On the 6th, 8th and 9th of October 2022 another great jam took place at the North Side Gallery with more than 50 fantastic creators taking part. Local and international urban artists redesigned the walls of the North Side Gallery with the theme “Urban Art for a Better World“. For the protection of the environment, freedom of speech, a life without violence and war, a humanistic attitude and respect for the dignity of each individual!
