CHILE: Streetart Santiago – Barrio Dieciocho – UTEM Art Space – Metropolitan Technological University

The Metropolitan Technological University (UTEM) is a higher education institution founded in 1993. At the time these photographs were taken some courses such as design and art were taught at this study headquarters, which is why the entire building was covered in streetart. Today it houses the university’s administrative units and, therefore, graffiti, stencils and tags are no longer seen on its walls. Still you can admire those great artworks in our archive!

ARGENTINA: Streetart Buenos Aires – Villa General Mitre – Estadio Diego Armando Maradona – MARLEY’s Tribute Gallery

The „Estadio Diego Armando Maradona“ in Buenos Aires is the headquarters of the famous club Asociación Atlética Argentinos Juniors, often just called Argentinos for short. Legends such as Diego Maradona come from this camp, but the great Lionell Messi also played his first game for the Argentinian national team on this pitch. SERBIA: Streetart Belgrade – Runaway Street Art Festival – Annual Mural Project

The RUNAWAY STREET ART FESTIVAL is a project launched by local artist ANDREJ JOSIFOVSKI aka PIJANISTA and is organized annually in selected locations in Belgrade. The first edition of this great happening took place in 2016 and new works have been created every year since. Although it is called a „festival“, it is actually more of a project and the exclusively large-scale murals are created by local and international artists on buildings in Belgrade throughout the year.

THAILAND: Streetart Surat Thani – Fantastic Concept Walls by SUTIN TANTIPAS and ART FOR DEC

The city of Surat Thani in the province of the same name has around 126,000 inhabitants and is located on the southern east coast of the Gulf of Thailand in Bandon Bay. The town on the Tapi River is a popular starting point for trips to the many idyllic islands. There are countless pieces of streetart in the alleys especially in the fisher and worksmen district and even some large murals. The painter and art teacher SUTIN TANTIPAS in particular has created a large number of fantastic concept walls with his ART FOR DEC project together with his students.

GERMANY: Streetart Flöha – Augustusburger 118 – Old Colored Paper Factory – Urban Art Festival – IBUG

The old Buntfarbenfabrik in Flöha, or „Colored Paint Factory“ in English, was founded in 1878, but even before that it housed the former Strobel spinning mill. The industrial site has now been derelict for many years and has become an exciting lost place and urbex spot. Urban artists have also discovered this, especially the organizers of the great festival series IBUG, short for „Industriebrachenumgestaltung“, which means in English „Industrial Brownfield Redevelopment“. The 16th and 17th editions of the event took place on the abandoned factory site in 2021 and 2022 and countless great works were created.

FRANCE: Streetart Paris – Gobelins – Spot 13 – Quai d’Ivry Hall of Fame – Graffiti Paradise

The SPOT 13 is undoubtedly the biggest graffiti and streetart oasis in Paris, a complex of bridge piers and numerous large-format walls that are regularly covered with countless pieces, from large murals, cool graffiti and photorealistic streetart to small stencils or paste-ups. According to its name, the creative space is located in the 13th arrondissement, or Gobelins district, between Quai d’Ivry and Rue Bruneseau along and under the highway E15 aka Boulevard Périphérique. CYPRUS: Streetart Limassol – Katholiki District – Athinon Urban Art Gallery

Along Athinon Street in the Cypriot city of Limassol, starting from the intersection with Ellados Street, there is a great urban art gallery with various large-scale and high-quality murals. Starting with the first works, more and more pieces by local and international artists were added over time, turning the rather small street in the Katholiki neighborhood into a fantastic open air museum. Even the street bollards were given their own colorful creative design.

SERBIA: Streetart Novi Sad – Fruškogorska – FC Kabel Soccer Field – Graffiti Hall of Fame

In Novi Sad between the streets Bulevar Despota Stefana, Fruškogorska, Most Slobode and Sunčani Kej is the soccer pitch and sports center of the local soccer club FC Kabel and other sports associations. The field is completely surrounded by a long wall and is perfect for graffiti. This huge area is the Kabel Hall of Fame and jams and sessions take place here regularly, the STREEWISE association in particular organizes happenings and new works are created regularly.

ITALY: Streetart Turin – Corso Romania – Stazione di Torino Stura – Mistura Jam – MONKEYS EVOLUTION

The Torino Stura Railway Station, or in Italian Stazione di Torino Stura, is located on the Corso Romania and besides the public transportation it is also a fantastic urban art gallery. Especially in 2015, on the weekends of 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th July, the MONKEYS EVOLUTION collective organized the great graffiti jam MISTURA, where 60 artists from all over Italy plus foreign visitors covered the area of the railroad station with fantastic works of art.

GERMANY: Streetart Düsseldorf – 40 Grad Urban Art Festival – Farbfieber Collective – Graffiti Collection

The magnificent 40 GRAD URBAN ART FESTIVAL takes place in Düsseldorf every two years and brings artists from all over the world to the city to create fantastic works. Another active group is the collective FARBFIEBER with the artist KLAUS KLINGER, who have already realized many interesting projects in the streets, either on their own or in cooperation with international creatives. Another interesting feature is the „Pretty Wall“ under a railroad bridge, which is used by the PRETTY PORTAL gallery for events and works by invited artists.
