The Asgiri Maha Vihara Pirivena temple offers interesting architecture and as well historic memorials. But here we focus on the intricately drawn murals on the walls inside the temple which are just wonderful. The front prayer hall is painted quite nicely, and then the main stupa hall is completely covered from floor to ceiling. Those artworks are not just beautiful drawings, they also tell important stories and convey information about historical events.
