SRI LANKA: Streetart Galle – Historic Fort Graffiti and Urban Art Collection

Galle is a city with around 93,000 inhabitants on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka and is known for its large fort complex and the colonial old town, which were classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. The city is home to various street art works with traditional and religious motifs, as well as modern graphics, characters and even typical graffiti writing. On the Fort promontory, there are several art galleries worth seeing, which also exhibit works on the streets. The temples are also always worth a look, as you can often find beautiful murals there.
