The festival Burgfestspiele Bad Vilbel has been held annually since 1987 from the beginning of June to the beginning of September in the historic moated castle of Bad Vilbel. Every year, the organizers put together an extensive programme of theater, performances, concerts and culture, including a number of special events for children and families. The town has also worked with a number of local artists for many years and often takes the opportunity to hire muralists and graffiti artists to create promotional artwork for the event around town rather than displaying machine-made signs or advertising banners. Below the train bridge from Kasseler Street to Homburger Street you can find several artworks which promoted the festival in the years 2024 and 2023. There are two painted murals directly on the bridge middle pillar wall on both sides, as well there are artworks made by HERA attached on the bridge outer walls on both sides. Also have a look at the urban artworks for the festival in 2025 just made around the corner at Kasseler Street 23 and the sculptural metal installation on the Kasseler Roundabout.
