The festival Burgfestspiele Bad Vilbel has been held annually since 1987 from the beginning of June to the beginning of September in the historic moated castle of Bad Vilbel. Every year, the organizers put together an extensive programme of theater, performances, concerts and culture, including a number of special events for children and families. The town has also worked with a number of local artists for many years and often takes the opportunity to hire muralists and graffiti artists to create promotional artwork for the event around the town rather than displaying machine-made signs or advertising banners. On this wall you can see works for the festival in 2025, especially for the theater performances „Räuber Hotzenplotz“, „Peter Pan“ and „Das doppelte Lottchen“. Also have a look at the urban artworks for the festival in 2024 and in 2023 located below the Kasseler Bridge and the sculptural metal installation on the Kasseler Roundabout.
