„Die bunte Seite von Nied“ – „The colorful side of Nied“ – Walkway Ramp
Over 50 volunteers from Nied repainted the walls of the S-Bahn platform between November 2015 and June 2016. The aim was to promote a sense of community in the district and identification with Nied and the motifs show the current and historical Nied with its architecture, nature and cultural diversity. This colorful art project took place with the creative direction by artist NICOLE WÄCHTLER and support of the City of Frankfurt, the Prevention Council and the Nied Regional Council.
On this page you will find the artworks on the walking ramp up to the platform with a great mural, but also an interesting tag wall, like a small tag hall of fame. The two styles flow into each other in some way and also face each other on the walls in the walkway, a cool street symbiosis, because both are sides of the neighbourhood and are a part of it. Check out as well the works from the art project „Die bunte Seite von Nied“ on the shelters and garbage bins at the platforms, the Graffiti Pieces at the tracks and the Graffiti on and below the Oeser Bridge, which connects to one side of the station.
