Below the south side bridge over the river Paillon at Place des Abattoirs is a graffiti hot spot, which can be painted at low tide or viewed from the outside at high tide. To the north, the canalized river runs underground through the city and the secondary school Lycée Guillaume Apollinaire is located above it.
