The Hongik University in Seoul is a renowned private academy, particularly known for its popular programs in art, design, and architecture. Founded in 1946, the main campus is located in the lively Hongdae district, a cultural center of the metropolis with numerous galleries, cafés, and live music venues. The Red Road in particular is a popular route where you can find numerous urban artworks. Also a lot of artists are based throughout the surrounding neighbourhood, as well there are ateliers and creative spaces. And the walls are accordingly decorated with colorful graffiti and streetart of course!

CZECHIA: Streetart Cheb – Eger – Graffiti and Urban Art at the Ohře River

Cheb, formerly also known as Eger, is a city in the Karlovy Vary region in the far west of the country near the German border. It lies on the Ohře River and, with a population of around 32,000, is an important location for education and industry. Cheb Castle, the only one in the country with the imperial falcon, is worth a visit, also recommended are the colorful merchant houses on King George of Podebrady Square, the 13th-century St. Nicholas Church, and the Franciscan monastery. The streets of Cheb are of course also home to many urban works of art.

GERMANY: Streetart Bremerhaven – Annual Graffiti Jam – SUMMA MADNEZZ – Edition 2025

The fantastic graffiti jam SUMMA MADNEZZ has been taking place in Bremerhaven since 2010 and brings together local and international artists every year to create a huge wall. Since then every year amazing artworks are sprayed by more than 50 participants under a specific motto. In 2025 from 29th till 31st August it was „Ancient Egypt“. The main spot is the 400-meter-long wall in Oststraße on a former shipbuilding hall at the Fischereihafen quarter. Besides that area this time an additional wall got included behind a supermarket at Georg Seebeck Street 56 as well. Check out the masterpieces!

FRANCE: Streetart Nice – Saint Roch – Place des Abattoirs – Paillon Riverbed Graffiti Hall

Below the south side bridge over the river Paillon at Place des Abattoirs is a graffiti hot spot, which can be painted at low tide or viewed from the outside at high tide. To the north, the canalized river runs underground through the city and the secondary school Lycée Guillaume Apollinaire is located above it. The graffiti pieces extend through the entire tunnel to the exit on the other side, you can see it if you walk around. Check out the archive with numerous graffiti pieces and urban artworks.

NORTH MACEDONIA: Streetart Skopje – Teatar Komedija – Creative Culture Center & Urban Art Gallery

The comedy theatre TEATAR KOMEDIJA as a national institution was established in November 2011, and its official opening was marked by the premiere of the play „Ah, My Love“, directed by Kole Angelovski, on World Theatre Day at March 27th in 2012. Fantastic plays and creative projects are constantly being performed in this culture space. The building complex also serves as an urban art gallery and features countless beautiful murals on its facades. Additionally there are ateliers and studios around the permises, and also a bar and a cocktail lounge to have a relaxed break.

SOUTH KOREA: Jeonju – Historic Hanok Village – Pungnam & Gyo District – Cultural Heritage

Jeonju Hanok Village is the largest Hanok Village in Korea, with about 700 Hanok buildings around Pungnam-dong. „Hanok“ is a traditional Korean house. The cultural site is the only Hanok complex in a downtown area in the whole country. The development history started in 1910, holding important cultural heritage including Gyeonggijeon shrine, Omokdae, and the Confucian School Hanggyo. About 20 other cultural facilities are dispersed in every corner of the Hanok Village. It’s a famous tourist site in Korea where all kinds of traditional Korean culture are showcased, including food, paper, songs, costumes and oriental medicine.

SERBIA: Streetart Belgrade – Dorćol – Visokog Stevana Mural – Graffiti Jam Block – RIZLA SQUAD

This block of flats has been covered in great graffiti all around, and there is also a large-scale mural on one side. The connecting works were created during a bigger spray project by RIZLA SQUAD with an elaborate collaboration work across the facades. It filles the bottom walls of the house, but especially on the south side it goes up nearly to the summit. It’s not only that huge mural, it’s actually the whole connected pieces which go around the walls. Fantastic! Also just imagine how it must have looked before, boring same color, repetitive architecture. Then suddenly there was that colorful upgrade.

GERMANY: Streetart Bremen – Mural City 2025 – Sustainable Urban Art Festival – Mural Project

From August 17th till 23rd in 2025, the neighborhood in Bremen’s Gröpelingen district, around Bromberger, Gnesener, and Rostocker Streets, were transformed into an open air gallery during the MURAL CITY urban art festival. The focus was on our planet Earth and the common theme „Beauty of Nature“. Ten international artists designed ten facades with climate-positive colors. This fantastic project was initiated by PETER STÖCKER aka THE CUT and the theam of his art agency LUCKY WALLS, with the support of the culture association KULTUR VOR ORT.

SOUTH KOREA: Seoul – GoTo Mall – Underground Urban Art – 24 Hours Project – Raemian One Bailey Streetart Gallery

The underground shopping center at Gangnam Terminal in Seoul is also known as “Goto Mall” and is directly connected to the subway lines. There are more than 600 shops, restaurants, and boutiques located beneath the surface. Along an around 500-meter-long walkway passage, the magnificent “24 Hours Project” was created at the RAEMIAN ONE BAILEY STREETART GALLERY, in which 24 renowned Korean urban artists each created a work that deals with a specific hour of the day. Pedestrians can experience Seoul’s vibrant rhythm through creative and also amusing artworks.

TURKEY: Streetart Istanbul – Azapkap?, Emekyemez & Bereketzade – Graffiti Box & Bombing Collection

In the south of the Istanbul Karaköy district by the water are the neighbourhoods of Bereketzade, Emekyemez and Azapkap?, the Arab quarter with the Arap Cami Mosque. Actually the whole city is a bazaar, but especially here you can find countless handcraft shops, numerous mechanics, little workshops and small technical goods stores. Those neighborhoods are already covered in graffiti from top to bottom, but when the shops close, even more cool works appear on the shutters. Check out the huge graffiti archive!
