SWEDEN: Streetart Borås – No Limit – Fantastic Urban Art Festival since 2014

The NO LIMIT urban art festival is an awesome event that has brought countless great artists from Sweden and from all over the world to the city of Borås since it’s first edition in 2014. The event was initiated by the artist SHAI DAHAN together with the project HEY BORÅS and the city of Borås. The town with 114.000 inhabitants is filled with countless works of creativity in urban space, whether huge-scale murals, filigree works on street corners or sculptures and monuments. In 2020 they also collaborated with ARTSCAPE and organized an even bigger event. Check out the awesome artworks from the previous years!

SERBIA: Streetart Belgrade – Dorćol – Dunavski Kej 46 – Magnificent Silosi Murals

On the banks of the Danube in Belgrade is a former factory with monumental silos at a height of 28 meters, the so called SILOSI. The building complex is constructed like honeycombs and consists of a total of 64 cells, but work was stopped many years ago and the site has lain fallow ever since. This landmark of brutalist architecture has been given a new lease of life thanks to the GAIA POKRET movement with several creative spaces, but the highlight are certainly the large murals that have gradually been painted in the lofty heights.

CANADA: Urban Artist JADE BILODEAU – Geometrical Patterns in the Beauty of Nature

The Canadian artist JADE BILODEAU from Montréal deals with geometric symmetry and at the same time with those forms found in nature. Her motifs often show plants, flowers or animals, but these are abstracted in graphic styles. Especially blossoms and the representation of their structure can often be found.  She was and is very active in Montréal, but meanwhile also in other places around the world. We spoke to the creative artist in an interview about her art, how she started and where she wants to go.

GERMANY: Streetart Berlin – Moabit – Concept Wall – 21er GALLERY – THE BRANDMAUER

On February 23th in 2025, federal elections will be held in Germany at a time when the shift to the right is on the rise again in the country and around the world. Due to these events the three artists TOMSTA, JAZZ and SHAW organized a great spray action on the concept wall of the 21ER GALLERY the days before to make a statement against right-wing attitudes, discrimination and racism. 15 artists took part in this creative campaign and painted fantastic works under the motto „THE BRANDMAUER“ to show that our society is colorful and open. SRI LANKA: Tattoo Pioneer KENNY ADAMS – Modern Tattoo Studios & Equipment Supplies

The creative artist KENNY ADAMS from Sri Lanka started drawing already as a child, initially with pens and brushes on paper. Time passed, he kept on painting, but meanwhile preferably on human skin. Starting out as a single tattoo artist, he has built up an entire collective and network under MODERN TATTOO, which currently consists of four studios around the country. Additionally he also runs a supply service for tattoo equipment. We spoke to the versatile artist in an interview about the tattooing, the development of his projects and his vision for Sri Lanka’s tattoo culture.

ITALY: Streetart Turin – Barriera di Milano – NAPE Memorandum Wall – MurArte Closing Party

In October 2018 various graffiti artists from around the city came together to create a great collaboration tribute wall for the legendary sprayer NAPE, who died in 2018. The event with dedicated memorandum artworks took place as a MURARTE CLOSING PARTY and was organized by the creative collectives IL CERCHIO E LE GOCCE and MONKEYS EVOLUTION. The graffiti artist PIERO SPADAROTTO aka NAPE lived from 4th August 1980 to 6th September 2018 and was one of the most important graffiti writers from Italy.

The Belgrade Design District is often considered the fashion mecca for designers and serves as a source of inspiration and an art center. With a variety of studios, galleries and stores, the creative space offers unique fashion pieces, accessories, jewelry, decorations, paintings and art objects, also events are held regularly. On the walls around you will of course find a lot of urban art and graffiti, there are numerous works of different styles.

FRANCE: Streetart Paris – Spot 13 – International Jam – 400 Writers from 17 Countries

On November 2nd in 2024 the great INTERNATIONAL JAM took place at the graffiti oasis and hall of fame SPOT 13, with almost 400 writers from 17 countries and 47 cities transforming the area under the spray theme „Silver Chrome“. GERMANY: Artist Special – DAVE THE CHIMP – Human Beans are saving the day

You simply have to love them – the „Human Beans“ in RAL 2000 color by the British and currently in Hamburg living artist DAVE THE CHIMP. Cheeky, funny, intelligent, effectively reduced to a maximum, with the highest recognition value. An ingenious „trademark“ that always makes you smile, amuses you uninhibitedly, but also makes you think, makes you reflect. Whenever I discover his works in hidden corners of cities, my day is saved. Check out the collection with numerous artworks from Hamburg and Berlin.

CHILE: Streetart Santiago – Barrio Dieciocho – UTEM Art Space – Metropolitan Technological University

The Metropolitan Technological University (UTEM) is a higher education institution founded in 1993. At the time these photographs were taken some courses such as design and art were taught at this study headquarters, which is why the entire building was covered in streetart. Today it houses the university’s administrative units and, therefore, graffiti, stencils and tags are no longer seen on its walls. Still you can admire those great artworks in our archive!
