Anne Frank was a resistance fighter against the Nazis during the Nazi era. The Anne Frank Center in Berlin and the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam were built in her honor. The Anne Frank Center is an institution that works against anti-Semitism, against all kinds of prejudice and discrimination against people. The Otto Weidt Museum for the Blind and Deaf is also very close to the Anne Frank Center in the backyard of Haus Schwarzenberg. Otto Weidt fought for his workers during the Nazi era and tried to appreciate them before deportation.
